To map the state of the existing literature to identify the optimal time frame between the arrival of refugees in a host country and psychosocial assessments. We conducted scoping review using the method of Arksey and O'Malley (2005). A systematic search of 5 databases including PubMed, Psycinfo (OVID), PsycINFO BD APA, Scopus and Web of Sciences) and grey literature identified 2698 references.

Impact and benefit-cost ratio of a program for the management of latent tuberculosis infection among refugees in a region of Canada.

Introduction: The identification and treatment of latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) among immigrants from high-incidence regions who move to low-incidence countries is generally considered an ineffective strategy because only ≈14% of them comply with the multiple steps of the 'cascade of care' and complete treatment. In the Estrie region of Canada, a refugee clinic was opened in 2009. One of its goals is LTBI management.

Implementation of an intersectoral outreach and community nursing care intervention with refugees in Quebec: A protocol study.

Objectives: Fertility-related decisions are challenging for women and couples living with HIV, in spite of vertical HIV transmission rates lower than 1% under effective antiretroviral treatment. This multicentre study identified factors influencing child desire of women and men living with HIV in Europe.

Methods: We gathered quantitative data by means of anonymous, self-administered questionnaires distributed through a network of 13 European HIV treatment centres.

Reorganizing nursing work on surgical units: a time-and-motion study.

A time-and-motion study was conducted in response to perceptions that the surgical nursing staff at a Montreal hospital was spending an excessive amount of time on non-nursing care. A sample of 30 nurse shifts was observed by trained observers who timed nurses' activities for their entire working shift using a hand-held Personal Digital Assistant. Activities were grouped into four main categories: direct patient care, indirect patient care, non-nursing and personal activities.
