Azathioprine is an immunosuppressive drug occasionally indicted as the cause of some episodes of acute cholestasis. The case described confirms the possibility of acute, severe, and reversible cholestatic hepatopathy of iatrogenic (toxic rather than idiosyncratic) origin.

The effects of single orally-administered dose of enalapril and captopril on central and district-peripheral circulations have been studied in 20 patients with essential arterial hypertension. Either drug caused a decrease in arterial pressure, telesystolic and telediastolic parietal stress, and a reduction in the peripheral vascular resistance of upper limb district. Furthermore, at the upper limb district level, increases in arterial flow and venous-system capacity have been observed.

After a review of the most important orthopaedic operations, the most significant types of physical therapy that are most suitable for individual cases are described in detail. Sports woman performance during menstrual cycle has been examined by many Authors, but the comparison of performance during all menstrual cycle has been less examined. The results of a research carried out on a group of 40 women attending the Parallel Courses' of Verona, of ISEF of Bologna, are illustrated. The conclusion of this research are: a less sporting efficiency in the premenstrual period, a normal or almost normal efficiency in the other period, including the menstrual one as well.

Some physiological ideas about female sporting activity, on the basis of new laws on sanitary protection of sporting activity are summarized. This paper is directed to sanitary operators who are being urged by law to judge whether an athlete can practise sport or not. The Author discusses the anato-morphologic, physical being, muscular, respiratory, cardio-circulatory, endocrine, neuro-psychical and psycho-somatic aspects of female organism and possible results in sporting competitions.
