The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of retrograde tibiopedal access as an alternative approach in cases of critical limb ischemia (CLI) when antegrade access has failed. A prospective study was conducted that included patients with CLI who underwent tibiopedal access after failed antegrade recanalization from January 2018 to June 2022. Follow-up was conducted at 6, 12, and 24 months.

This study develops and validates predictive models for breast cancer recurrence and metastasis using Recurrence-Free Survival Analysis and machine learning techniques. We merged datasets from the Molecular Taxonomy of Breast Cancer International Consortium, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Duke University, and the SEER program, creating a comprehensive dataset of 272, 252 rows and 23 columns.

Breast cancer is a leading contributor to cancer-related deaths among women worldwide. The discovery of biomarkers is crucial for early diagnosis, outcome prediction, and effective treatment.

Existing work has focused on the effects of single shocks on discrete elements within the health system, typically at national level. Using qualitative system dynamics, we explored how effects of multiple shocks interacted across system levels and combined with existing vulnerabilities to produce effects on essential health services delivery, through the prism of a case study on childhood vaccination in Lebanon.

The approach can be used for extracting the concentration of two analytes with severely overlapped spectra from their binary mixtures. ICE is based on spectral extraction platform involving simple smart successive methods that can directly extract the original zero order spectra of the analytes at their characteristic (λ).

Using quasi-exhaustive national data from the French administrative health care databases (SNDS), we explored whether DAA treatment in PWMDs affected hospitalizations in both psychiatric and non-psychiatric settings.
Methods: All adult PWMDs identified in the SNDS with DAA treatment initiation between 2015 and 2018 and 12 months of data pre- and post-treatment were included.
Introduction: The Lebanese government estimates the number of Syrian refugees to be 1.5 million, representing 25% of the population. Refugee healthcare services have been integrated into the existing Lebanese health system.

Methods: This multicenter retrospective study included patients who underwent FEVAR between 2018 and 2022 in 3 vascular centers participating in the VBX Expand Registry. Patients with at least one visceral artery treated with the VBX and with availability of 2 post-FEVAR computed tomography angiography (CTA) scans (follow-up [FU] 1: 0-6 months; FU2: 9-24 months) were included.
In line with the peer reviewers comments, the authors have added highlights in stead of an abstract. It was felt that it was better able to capture the findings and is more in line with the paper's target audience.

The initial success and widespread adoption of endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR) for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms have been tempered by numerous reports of secondary interventions and increased long-term mortality compared with open repair. Over the past decade, several studies on postoperative sac dynamics after EVAR have suggested that the presence of sac regression is a benign feature with a favorable prognosis. Conversely, increasing sacs and even stable sacs can be indicators of more unstable sac behavior with worse outcomes in the long-term.

A simple, rapid, and economical high-performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet detection (HPLC-UV) method for the simultaneous determination of three ionophoric coccidiostats, namely salinomycin (SAL), maduramicin (MAD), and monensin (MON) in addition to three AAs; L-tryptophan (L-TRP), alpha-ketoleucin (KLEU), and L-valine (L-VAL) in feed premixes was developed and validated. Chromatographic separation was achieved in less than 12 min using a phenyl hexyl column with a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile/methanol/water (25:20:55, v/v/v) adjusted to pH 3 using phosphoric acid.

Simultaneously, the suggested approach was used to detect the synchronous fluorescence intensity of the cited drugs at Δ λ = 80 nm in ethanol to determine the concentrations of olmesartan medoxomil and rosuvastatin calcium at 265 and 240 nm, respectively. Various experimental conditions were tested, and each variable was analyzed and optimized.

Current research evidence focuses on burden of disease, service provision and access to care, and less is known about patient's experience of the continuum of care in humanitarian settings. To address this gap, this study explored experiences of displaced Syrian and vulnerable Lebanese patients receiving care for hypertension and/or diabetes at four health facilities supported by humanitarian organisations in Lebanon.

To better understand health system responses to multiple shocks, we conducted an in-depth case study using qualitative system dynamics. We focused on routine childhood vaccination delivery in Lebanon in the context of at least three shocks overlapping to varying degrees in space and time: large-scale refugee arrivals from neighbouring Syria; COVID-19; and an economic crisis.

Background: Although SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are generally safe, there are growing concerns about their link to a potentially life-threatening multi-system inflammatory syndrome following vaccination (MIS-V). We conducted this systematic review to elucidate the prevalence of MIS, severity, treatment, and outcomes following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
Methods: We searched PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, Virtual Health Library (VHL), Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases for articles and case reports about MIS-V.
Red dyes as Allura Red (E129), Amaranth (E124), Ponceau 4R (E123), Erythrosine (E127) and Carmoisine (E122), are very popular food additives due to their stability, low cost, and minimal microbial contamination. Despite these advantages, their consumption may result in asthma, hyperactivity, carcinogenic effects, etc depending on the uptake and age. Therefore, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) have managed the permissions of allowed daily intake (ADI) for consumption levels of these dyes to be 0.

Toll-like receptors 4 and TLRs 9 were found to be highly expressed in breast cancer. The aim of this study is to investigate the soluble toll-like receptors 4 and 9 (sTLR4 and sTLR9) as potential biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis of breast cancer and their association with the clinicopathological parameters of breast cancer.

Minority stress, or the unique stressors related to anti-MSM stigma and discrimination, negatively impacts the mental health of MSM.
