The Elderly Psychiatry Family Guidance Centre, set up in 2009 in the French Rhône department, is a hospital-based team working at the request of professionals in the network. It is aimed at families in which a member over the age of 65 is experiencing a loss of autonomy that is beyond the family's resources. Combining psychodynamic and systemic tools, this group treatment focuses on psychological aspects and elements of everyday reality.

Rationale: Many members of stigmatized groups face health and wellbeing deficits relative to their non-stigmatized peers. Ample evidence suggests that one method used by some members of stigmatized groups to manage the stigma they face-concealing their stigmatized identities-may contribute to these health and wellbeing disparities. However, precisely why concealment may contribute to these disparities is less clear.

Context: Germline CDKN1B variants predispose patients to multiple endocrine neoplasia type 4 (MEN4), a rare MEN1-like syndrome, with <100 reported cases since its discovery in 2006. Although CDKN1B mutations are frequently suggested to explain cases of genetically negative MEN1, the prevalence and phenotype of MEN4 patients is poorly known, and genetic counseling is unclear.

Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of MEN4 in MEN1-suspected patients and characterize the phenotype of MEN4 patients.

People who conceal their stigmatized identities often experience worse physical health. One possibility for why is that concealment may render certain health-seeking behaviors more difficult. We tested this possibility during the 2022 global mpox outbreak, a public-health emergency that disproportionately affected sexual-minority men.

Concealment is a common and consequential identity management strategy. But which identities are concealable? In three studies ( = 468; = 4,068), we find substantial individual differences in which identities people experience as concealable. These individual differences in concealability manifest as Person × Identity interactions, such that people experience varying levels of concealability for each of their individual identities.

A promising way to mitigate inequality is by addressing students' worries about belonging. But where and with whom is this social-belonging intervention effective? Here we report a team-science randomized controlled experiment with 26,911 students at 22 diverse institutions. Results showed that the social-belonging intervention, administered online before college (in under 30 minutes), increased the rate at which students completed the first year as full-time students, especially among students in groups that had historically progressed at lower rates.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) have high efficacy in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) with microsatellite instability (MSI) but not in microsatellite stable (MSS) tumour due to the low tumour mutational burden. Selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) could enhance neoantigen production thus triggering systemic anti-tumoral immune response (abscopal effect). In addition, Oxalipatin can induce immunogenic cell death and Bevacizumab can decrease the exhaustion of tumour infiltrating lymphocyte.

Carcinoid heart disease is a rare condition affecting mostly tricuspid and pulmonary valves causing right-sided heart failure. Surgical valve replacement is the mainstay of treatment when patients become symptomatic and/or in the presence of right heart remodeling. We present a case of severe pulmonary valve regurgitation secondary to carcinoid heart disease occurring 4 years after a surgical tricuspid replacement, successfully treated with direct transcatheter pulmonary valve implantation without pre-stenting.

Background: Gemcitabine/nab-paclitaxel (GN) and FOLFIRINOX (FFX) are two standard first-line therapies for metastatic pancreatic cancer (PC) but have rarely been compared, especially in patients with locally advanced PC (LAPC).

Methods: This is a retrospective European multicenter study including patients with LAPC treated with either GN or FFX as the first-line therapy between 2010 and 2019. Coprimary objectives were progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS), both estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method.

In intergroup contexts, people may fear being judged negatively because of an identity they hold. For some, the prospect of concealment offers an opportunity to attenuate this fear. Therefore, believing an identity is concealable may minimize people's fears of identity-based judgment.

Objective: Literature on patient-reported outcomes (PRO) of carcinoid syndrome symptoms (CSS) is scarce. We used a patient-reported outcome measure (PROM) to evaluate CSS, the domains of daily life impacted by CSS, the main symptoms that affect daily life, its change according to clinical, biological and morphological evolution, and the risk factors for a poor PRO-CSS score.

Methods: Patients completed the PRO-CSS, EORTC-QLQ30, and GI-NET21 questionnaires at the time of their clinical, laboratory, and morphological assessments in a multicentre French cohort study from February 2019 to May 2020.

Background: High-volume (1.5 ml kg) caudal block in infants results in major reductions of cerebral blood flow velocity (CBFV) and cerebral oxygenation, caused by rostral CSF movement which increases intracranial pressure. The primary aim of this study was to determine the relationship between injected volume and CBFV changes.

Introduction: Small-intestinal neuroendocrine tumors (SI-NET) are situated preferentially within the ileum. The aim was to describe a potential difference in location between unifocal and multiple ileal-NET.

Patients And Methods: Between December 2010 and December 2019, all consecutive patients who underwent resection in our European Neuroendocrine Tumor Society Center of Excellence, of at least 1 non-duodenal SI-NET, were retrospectively included.

Introduction: The characteristics, prognostic factors, and management of duodenal neuroendocrine neoplasms (dNEN) are ill-defined, given their rarity. Whether nonsurgical management might be appropriate for patients with nonmetastatic dNEN and a good prognosis, as is the case for pancreatic NEN (pNEN), is unknown. We aimed to describe the management and prognosis of nonmetastatic dNEN patients.

Introduction: Small rectal neuroendocrine tumours are good candidates for endoscopic resection provided that complete pathological resection (R0) is obtained and their risk of metastatic progression is low. We conducted a large multicentre nationwide study to evaluate the outcomes of the management of non-metastatic rectal neuroendocrine tumours ≤2 cm diagnosed endoscopically.

Patients And Methods: The medical records, the endoscopic and pathological findings of patients with non-metastatic rectal neuroendocrine tumours ≤2 cm managed from January 2000-June 2018 in 16 French hospitals, were retrospectively analysed.
