C-banding revealed variation in the size of the centromeric heterochromatic blocks in autosomal chromosomes and in the acrocentric (X) and puntiform (Y) sex chromosomes. Objective: Aedes albopictus populations can breed in several kinds of containers, and its presence has also been reported in Bromeliaceae.
