Introduction: Reliable assessment of individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) is essential for providing adequate treatment. Clinical assessment is a complex and time-consuming task, especially for bradykinesia, since its evaluation can be influenced by the degree of experience of the examiner, patient collaboration and individual bias. Improvement of the clinical evaluation can be obtained by considering assessments from several professionals.

This study aimed to (i) identify STMPs in Parkinson’s disease (PD) and physiological resting tremor and (ii) characterize STMPs by amplitude, persistence, and regularity. (2) Methods: This study included healthy (N = 12, 60.

Parkinson's disease (PD), whose cardinal signs are tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia, and postural instability, gradually reduces the quality of life of the patient, making early diagnosis and follow-up of the disorder essential. This study aims to contribute to the objective evaluation of tremor in PD by introducing and assessing histograms of oriented gradients (HOG) to the analysis of handwriting sinusoidal and spiral patterns. These patterns were digitized and collected from handwritten drawings of people with PD (n = 20) and control healthy individuals (n = 20).

Background: The Absorb bioresorbable vascular scaffold (BVS) has been associated with an unexpectedly high incidence of thrombosis.
Methods: Between 11/2014 and 10/2016, 100 patients were treated with BVS.
An experiment to assess the influence of commercially available infant formulas on characteristics of feces in a weanling piglet model was conducted. Seven commercial infant formulas [whey, whey+alpha-lactalbumin, whey+alpha-lactalbumin+oligofructose, whey+GOS+polyfructose, whey protein concentrate 1 (with 27.3% acid hydrolyzed fat), whey protein concentrate 2 (with 29.

Two of these substrates, salmon protein hydrolysate (SPH) and salmon meal with crushed bones (SMB), were used to determine their palatability as components of dog diets. Pollock by-products differed in concentrations of CP, crude fat, and total AA by 71, 79, and 71%, respectively, and GE by 4.

A nitrogen balance study was conducted as a randomized complete block design using 30 Pointer puppies (72-d-old; 5.5 kg).
