Acute cholangitis is a systemic disease caused by acute inflammation and infection of the biliary tree and carries significant morbidity and mortality rates. The most common cause of acute cholangitis is choledocholithiasis, which can lead to an increased death rate in severe forms and in the absence of appropriate treatment. The clinical Charcot's triad is outdated due to low sensitivity and has been replaced with the criteria established by the Tokyo guidelines.

Surgical clip migration in the common bile duct with consecutive stone formation is a rare occurrence after laparoscopic cholecystectomy, less than 100 cases being reported so far. We report a case of a 55-year-old woman with obstructive jaundice due to bile duct stone formed around a migrated surgical clip 9 years after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The patient presented with pain in the upper abdomen and jaundice.

Purpose: (1) To present a Danish quality register (AMETO) concerning dental implant treatment for dental agenesis, assess its indicators and standards, and compare them with those acknowledged and outlined by the Institute of Medicine (IoM), World Health Organization (WHO), and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), classified as the quality domains efficiency, effectiveness, patient-centered care, timely care, safety, and equitability; and (2) to perform a systematic literature search and review to verify whether any quality register exists according to the six quality domains.

Materials And Methods: (1) The AMETO register is comprised of 16 process and result indicators and standards, which were compared to the six quality domains outlined by the IoM and WHO. (2) A systematic literature search was carried out using the search engines PubMed, Embase, CINAHL, Web of Science, and SveMed+.

This paper introduces a new method for the use of tensor-resistive sensors in large spherical storage tank equipment (over 12,000-mm diameters). We did an experiment with 19 petroleum or ammonia product sphere-shaped storage tanks with volumes of 1000 and 1800 cubic meters, respectively. The existing literature only contains experiments based on sensors for tanks with diameters no larger than 600 mm.

Starting from the well-known fact that the rolling movement always has a lower friction compared to sliding friction, the authors have conceived and realized a pivoting movement joint on a "layer of balls" with "compensation space", placed between the acetabular cup and the femoral head. This technical solution allows free self-directed migration of the balls, depending on the resistance opposed, with successive occupation of the "compensation space". As a concept, the proposed technical solution excludes the existence of a cage for maintaining the relative positions of the spheres.

We present a theoretical study of two-color ionization of hydrogen with keV photons at intensities ranging from 1016 to 1018  W/cm2. We consider the atom in interaction with a superposition of two electromagnetic pulses centered around two frequencies that differ by a few atomic units and we present in detail the case of the frequencies 55 and 50 a.u.
