The esophageal scintigraphy is a technique used to evaluate the motility and the clearance of the esophagus. The patients with achalasia of the cardia were evaluated, before treating them with pneumatic dilatation and after. The reason is to evaluate the efficiency of the pneumatic dilatation technique in the treatment of esophageal achalasia.
