Two cases of mammary tuberculosis (TB) are presented, one of them with additional pleural and lymph node involvement. Both were HIV-negative, with no history of previous TB, with long-standing breast lesions. Both presented a successful outcome with antituberculosis treatment.

Although NDM-1 is the most prevalent one, other variants are increasing their frequency worldwide. In this study we describe the first clinical isolate of NDM-5- and RmtB-producing in Latin America.
