[Criteria for the authorization of training in medical specialist competence in internal medicine and rheumatology-A position paper of the German Society for Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology].

The model advanced training regulations define the content of advanced training to achieve the qualification of medical specialist in internal medicine and rheumatology. There are currently no criteria for issuing the authorization in advanced training. This position paper describes the criteria proposed by the German Society for Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology (DGRh), which should be the foundation for the issuance of authorization for advanced training in the field of internal medicine and rheumatology and for the assessment of the duration.

Predictors of dropout in cognitive behavior and interpersonal online brief psychotherapies for essential professionals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Premature dropout from psychotherapy can harm patients and increase mental health costs. This study identified predictors of dropout in brief online psychotherapy for essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a secondary analysis of a randomized trial on 4-week CBT or IPT protocols.

Antiproton annihilation at rest in thin solid targets and comparison with Monte Carlo simulations.

The mechanism of antiproton-nucleus annihilation at rest is not fully understood, despite substantial previous experimental and theoretical work. In this study we used slow extracted antiprotons from the ASACUSA apparatus at CERN to measure the charged particle multiplicities and their energy deposits from antiproton annihilations at rest on three different nuclei: carbon, molybdenum and gold. The results are compared with predictions from different models in the simulation tools Geant4 and FLUKA.

Psychometric properties of an online psychotherapy advantages and disadvantages instrument: Preliminary results of a multi-center pilot study.

TAMie Force Field for Alkanethiols: Multifidelity Gaussian Processes for Dealing with Scarce Experimental Data.

This study extends the transferable anisotropic Mie potential (TAMie) to alkanethiols. The force field parameters are optimized by using an analytic equation of state as a surrogate model. Given the lack of experimental density data at elevated temperatures where Monte Carlo simulations have high statistical precision, the equation of state is supplemented by a linear multifidelity Gaussian process approach to bridge the temperature gap.

Efficient Generation of Torsional Energy Profiles by Multifidelity Gaussian Processes for Hindered Rotor Corrections.

Accurate thermochemistry computations often require proper treatment of torsional modes. The one-dimensional hindered rotor model has proven to be a computationally efficient solution, given a sufficiently accurate potential energy surface. Methods that provide potential energies at various compromises of uncertainty and computational time demand can be optimally combined within a multifidelity treatment.

Orders of Magnitude Improved Cyclotron-Mode Cooling for Nondestructive Spin Quantum Transition Spectroscopy with Single Trapped Antiprotons.

We demonstrate efficient subthermal cooling of the modified cyclotron mode of a single trapped antiproton and reach particle temperatures T_{+}=E_{+}/k_{B} below 200 mK in preparation times shorter than 500 s. This corresponds to the fastest resistive single-particle cyclotron cooling to subthermal temperatures ever demonstrated. By cooling trapped particles to such low energies, we demonstrate the detection of antiproton spin transitions with an error rate <0.

Image-Current Mediated Sympathetic Laser Cooling of a Single Proton in a Penning Trap Down to 170 mK Axial Temperature.

We demonstrate a new temperature record for image-current mediated sympathetic cooling of a single proton in a cryogenic Penning trap by laser-cooled ^{9}Be^{+}. An axial mode temperature of 170 mK is reached, which is a 15-fold improvement compared to the previous best value. Our cooling technique is applicable to any charged particle, so that the measurements presented here constitute a milestone toward the next generation of high-precision Penning-trap measurements with exotic particles.

CT evaluation of bowel wall enhancement in pneumatosis intestinalis: preventing non-therapeutic laparotomies.

Purpose: To evaluate the diagnostic performance of bowel wall enhancement for diagnosing concomitant bowel ischemia in patients with parietal pneumatosis (PI) diagnosed at abdominal CT.

Materials And Methods: From January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2021, 226 consecutive patients who presented with PI on abdominal CT from any bowel segment were included. Variables at the time of the CT were retrospectively extracted from medical charts.

Transferable Anisotropic Mie Potential Force Field for Alkanediols.

The development of force fields for polyfunctional molecules, such as alkanediols, requires a careful account of different average intramolecular conformations for gas states compared to dense liquid states, where intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds compete. In the present work, the transferable anisotropic Mie (TAMie) potential is extended to 1,-alkanediols. Using the convention that intramolecular nonbonded interactions up to and including the third neighbor are excluded, all force field parameters developed previously for 1-alcohols were transferred to 1,5-pentanediol and beyond, with good agreement with experimental phase equilibrium data.

Association of Serum Soluble Transferrin Receptor Concentration With Markers of Inflammation: Analysis of 1001 Patients From a Tertiary Rheumatology Center.

Objective: Soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR) is considered to be a useful biomarker for the diagnosis of iron deficiency, especially in the setting of inflammation, as it is thought to not be affected by inflammation. We analyzed the relationship between sTfR levels and inflammatory markers in patients with known or suspected inflammatory rheumatic disease (IRD).

Methods: Blood samples of 1001 patients with known or suspected IRD referred to a tertiary rheumatology center were analyzed.

Early growth response 1 (EGR1) is downregulated in peripheral blood from patients with major psychiatric disorders.

Objectives: To evaluate relative expression of genes with the potential to translate environmental stimuli into long-term alterations in the brain - namely Early Growth Response (EGR)1, EGR3, and Cryptochrome Circadian Regulator 2 (CRY2) - in peripheral blood from patients with Bipolar Disorder (BD), Schizophrenia (SZ), Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) and healthy controls (HC).

In animal pathogens, assembly of the type III secretion system injectisome requires the presence of so-called pilotins, small lipoproteins that assist the formation of the secretin ring in the outer membrane. Using a combination of functional assays, interaction studies, proteomics, and live-cell microscopy, we determined the contribution of the pilotin to the assembly, function, and substrate selectivity of the T3SS and identified potential new downstream roles of pilotin proteins. In absence of its pilotin SctG, Yersinia enterocolitica forms few, largely polar injectisome sorting platforms and needles.

Cytosolic sorting platform complexes shuttle type III secretion system effectors to the injectisome in Yersinia enterocolitica.

Bacteria use type III secretion injectisomes to inject effector proteins into eukaryotic target cells. Recruitment of effectors to the machinery and the resulting export hierarchy involve the sorting platform. These conserved proteins form pod structures at the cytosolic interface of the injectisome but are also mobile in the cytosol.

Trap-integrated fluorescence detection with silicon photomultipliers for sympathetic laser cooling in a cryogenic Penning trap.

We present a fluorescence-detection system for laser-cooled 9Be+ ions based on silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) operated at 4 K and integrated into our cryogenic 1.9 T multi-Penning-trap system. Our approach enables fluorescence detection in a hermetically sealed cryogenic Penning-trap chamber with limited optical access, where state-of-the-art detection using a telescope and photomultipliers at room temperature would be extremely difficult.

BASE-STEP: A transportable antiproton reservoir for fundamental interaction studies.

Currently, the world's only source of low-energy antiprotons is the AD/ELENA facility located at CERN. To date, all precision measurements on single antiprotons have been conducted at this facility and provide stringent tests of fundamental interactions and their symmetries. However, magnetic field fluctuations from the facility operation limit the precision of upcoming measurements.

Ultra-thin polymer foil cryogenic window for antiproton deceleration and storage.

We present the design and characterization of a cryogenic window based on an ultra-thin aluminized biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate foil at T < 10 K, which can withstand a pressure difference larger than 1 bar at a leak rate <1×10-9 mbar l/s. Its thickness of ∼1.7 μm makes it transparent to various types of particles over a broad energy range.

Chronic pain predicts a worse response to depression treatment, regardless of thyroid function or psychotropics prescribed.

Background: Chronic pain (CP) and thyroid hormones' (TH) abnormalities are associated with depression, but the impact of pain and TH fluctuation on the response to depression treatment is uncertain.

Methods: Eighty-eight patients with major depression were evaluated before and after 6 months of specific treatment, through scales of symptoms' severity (HAM-D-17), psychomotor disturbance (CORE), and quality of life (WHOQOL-Bref). We reviewed psychiatric medications and measured TSH, T3 and T4.
