The aim of this study was to evaluate the push-out bond strength and the failure mode of single adjustable posts (SPLENDOR SAP), anatomical posts (AP), or computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) posts cemented to flared root canal dentin with self-adhesive dual-cure resin cement. Thirty single-rooted premolars received endodontic treatment with gutta-percha and a calcium hydroxide-based endodontic cement. After 24 hours, the canal spaces were enlarged with burs.

The present study aimed to evaluate the influence of application mode on the short-term microshear bond strength longevity of self-etching and universal adhesive systems to enamel, the failure mode, and the resulting enamel surface micromorphology. Ninety enamel surfaces were obtained from sound third molars, planed, and randomly assigned to nine groups, according to the application mode and the adhesive system (n=10). There were three primer application modes: according to the manufacturer's recommended application time (control), using double the application time recommended for the primer and selective enamel etching.

This study evaluated dentin enzymatic degradation based on the total matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity of demineralized dentin matrices before and after exposure to phosphoric acid (PA), glycolic acid (GA), and ferulic acid (FA). The release of hydroxyproline (HP), ultimate tensile strength (UTS), and dentin permeability (DP) were also evaluated. Dentin collagen matrices were assessed according to total MMP activity before and after treatment with the tested acids (n=10) for 15 seconds and compared with the control (GM6001 inhibitor).

Aims: To evaluate the influence of the type of preparation and mechanical cycling on the fracture load and failure mode of semi-direct posterior resin composite restorations.

Methods: In total, 70 healthy third molars were used; 10 belonging to the control group (C - unprepared teeth) and 60 teeth prepared and restored with nanoparticle resin composite, divided into 3 groups (n = 20): O - exclusively occlusal preparation (Table Top); OV - occlusal preparation with buccal extension (Veneerlay); OVP - Occlusal preparation with chamfer on the proximal and buccal-lingual/palatal surfaces (Overlay). Background: Greater degradation of the hybrid layer is expected when a universal adhesive system is used, especially in the conventional application strategy. This study evaluated the etching pattern, surface microhardness, and bond strength for enamel and dentin submitted to treatment with phosphoric, glycolic, and ferulic acids. Enamel and dentin blocks were treated with phosphoric, glycolic, and ferulic acid to evaluate the surface and adhesive interface by scanning electron microscopy (2000×). Surface microhardness (Knoop) was evaluated before and after etching, and microtensile bond strength was evaluated after application of a two-step adhesive system (Adper Single Bond 2, 3M ESPE) at 24 hours and 12 months storage time points.

Background: Due to controversial results in relation to the influence of desensitizing agents on sensitivity during bleaching, the present study evaluated the degree of tooth bleaching sensitivity, color change, and patient acceptability of desensitizing agents containing potassium nitrate/sodium fluoride (PNF) or nanostructured calcium phosphate (N) associated with in-office bleaching with 35% hydrogen peroxide (HP).

Materials And Methods: Seventy-five patients were randomly distributed into three groups (n = 25): 1) Group W - in-office bleaching (Whiteness HP Maxx - three sessions of 45 min); 2) Group WD - associated with PNF desensitizing gel (Desensibilize KF 2%) applied for 10 min before each session; 3) Group WDN - associated with N desensitizing paste (Desensibilize Nano P) applied after bleaching for 5 min.
