Psoriasis vulgaris patient with psoriatic arthritis managed with interleukin-17A inhibitor: Balancing benefits and adverse effects.

Psoriasis vulgaris is a significant health problem and up to 30% of the patients are most likely to develop psoriatic arthritis. Secukinumab, an interleukin-17A (IL-17A) inhibitor, is used to treat patients with moderate-to-severe plaques associated with psoriatic arthritis. The aim of this case report was to highlight the efficacy of secukinumab treatment in a patient with both psoriasis vulgaris and psoriatic arthritis focusing the how to balance the benefits and adverse effects.
