Objective: To evaluate health-related quality of life (HRQoL), in relation to support from work, social, as well as treatment satisfaction, in women with multiple sclerosis (MS). Further, to predict the satisfaction on these support dimensions based on sociodemographic and clinical variables.

Design: Cross-sectional survey: a web-based questionnaire conducted in 2021 of people with MS (PwMS) linked to Nationwide Swedish registers.

Background: Work ability index (WAI) is an instrument that measures work ability in workplace surveys and health examinations in occupational health and research. It has been used in different population groups. But research is limited among people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS).

CO adsorption on CeO2(111): A CCSD(T) benchmark study using an embedded-cluster model.

A benchmark model that combines an embedded-cluster approach for ionic surfaces with wavefunction-based methods to predict the vibrational frequencies of molecules adsorbed on surfaces is presented. As a representative case, the adsorption of CO on the lowest index non-polar and most stable facet of CeO2, that is, (111) was studied. The CO harmonic vibrational frequencies were not scaled semiempirically but explicitly corrected for anharmonic effects, which amount to about 25 cm-1 with all tested methods.

Introduction: Transition of care from hospital to primary care has been recognised globally as a high-risk scenario for older patients' safety by the WHO. Indeed, sub-optimal care transitions are associated with increased mortality, morbidity and adverse events.Improving communication through timely and accurate clinical information transfer has been identified as a key component of optimal care transitions.

Context: Reiki is a biofield therapy from Japan currently used in many US hospitals. Evidence supports Reiki's effectiveness for addressing cancer and treatment-related symptoms such as pain and anxiety. Tumor board simulation improves interdisciplinary decision-making in medical students.

Introduction: Training of interdisciplinary clinical reasoning and decision-making skills, essential in daily clinical practice in oncological specialties, are still underrepresented in medical education. Therefore, at LMU University Hospital Munich, we implemented a didactically modified tumor board simulation with experts from five different disciplines (medical oncology, pathology, radiation oncology, radiology, and surgery) presenting patient cases into a one-week course on the basic principles of oncology. In this survey, we examined the self-assessed impact of our course on the interdisciplinary decision-making skills of medical students.

PtH : A Cuboctahedral Platinum Hydride Cluster Cage.

The platinum hydride cluster PtH is studied in gas phase by a combination of trapped ion electron diffraction and density functional theory computations. We find a cuboctahedral platinum cage with bridge bound hydrogen atoms. This unusual structure is stabilized by Pt-H-Pt multicenter bonds and shows characteristics of spherical aromaticity.

Oral Health-Related Quality of Life among Refugees: A Questionnaire-Based Study.

Objectives: The issue of oral health problems among refugees, not only during their journey but also once they arrive at their destination, is a current one. This study aimed to evaluate the oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) of refugees, with the intention of highlighting a potential need for improved education and easier access to dental care.

Materials And Methods: A questionnaire based on the Oral Health Impact Profile (OHIP-14) was distributed via hyperlink on social media, targeting individuals with a refugee background to collect data on their OHRQoL.

Understanding the role of B cells in tuberculosis (TB) is crucial for developing new TB vaccines. Using high-dimensional flow cytometry to map the immune landscape in response to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) infection, our results show an accumulation of marginal zone B (MZB) cells and other unconventional B cell subsets in the lungs and spleen, shaping an unconventional B cell landscape.

Effectiveness and Safety of Dexmedetomidine in Neonates With Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy Undergoing Therapeutic Hypothermia.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness and safety of dexmedetomidine as monotherapy between neonates with mild hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) and moderate to severe HIE treated with therapeutic hypothermia (TH).

Methods: This retrospective study included neonates of gestational age ≥36 weeks with a diagnosis of HIE and undergoing TH between January 2014 and December 2021. Patients were included if they received at least 6 hours of continuous sedation with dexmedetomidine.

Adenosine Deaminases Acting on RNA (ADARs) are enzymes that catalyze the conversion of adenosine to inosine in RNA duplexes. These enzymes can be harnessed to correct disease-causing G-to-A mutations in the transcriptome because inosine is translated as guanosine. Guide RNAs (gRNAs) can be used to direct the ADAR reaction to specific sites.

Hypogammaglobulinaemia during rituximab treatment in multiple sclerosis: A Swedish cohort study.

Methods: In this register-based multi-centre retrospective cohort study of multiple sclerosis (MS) patients in Sweden, 2745 patients from six participating Swedish MS centres were identified via the Swedish MS registry and included between 14 March 2008 and 25 January 2021. The exposure was treatment with at least one dose of rituximab for MS or clinically isolated syndrome, including data on treatment duration and doses.

Herein, we present the first report on the synthesis of rare-earth complexes featuring a 9,10-diborataanthracene ligand. This 14-π-electron ligand is highly reductive and was previously used in small-molecule activation. Salt elimination reactions between dipotassium 9,10-diethyl-9,10-diborataanthracene [K(DEDBA)] and [Ln(η-Cot)(BH)(thf)] (Cot=1,4-(PrSi)CH) in a 1 : 1 ratio yielded heteroleptic sandwich complexes [K(η-Cot)Ln(η-DEDBA)] (Ln=Y, Dy, Er).

To plan resource allocation for this patient group, knowledge of the incidence rate and prevalence is important.
