A 61-year-old male patient, who had undergone radical prostatectomy, underwent Ga labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) positron emission tomography/computerized tomography (PET/CT) for evaluation of suspected biochemical recurrence of prostate cancer (PCa). PET/CT scan showed increased Ga PSMA expressions in hypodense mass lesions in both adrenal gland localizations. An adrenal gland tru-cut biopsy was performed for the right side, which showed poor-differentiated carcinoma metastases associated with the patient's high-grade PCa.

Objectives: The present study aimed to identify the prevalence of focal uptake in the colon on fluorine-fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) studies performed for the evaluation of malignancies other than colon, to detect the rate of malignancy in incidental focal F-FDG avid colonic lesions and to investigate if any possible role of maximum standardized uptake value (SUV) values in the discrimination of malignant lesions from premalignant and benign ones exist.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the files of 8,017 patients with known or suspected malignancy, who underwent whole-body F-FDG PET/CT at our institution during the period November 2017 to November 2019. Patients showing a single site of focally increased colonic F-FDG uptake that was more intense compared to liver uptake on F-FDG PET studies and referred to colonoscopy were enrolled in the study.
Objective: In patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPCa), enzalutamide is administered when docetaxel treatment fails. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the relationship between prostate-specific antigen (PSA) response and metabolic parameters obtained from 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT before treatment in this patient group.
Methods: From February 2018 to May 2020, 34 patients with mCRPCa were enrolled in this study.
A 54-year-old woman underwent octreotide scintigraphy for evaluation of neuroendocrine tumor recurrence. The images demonstrated unusual uptake in gallbladder area in addition to physiologic uptake at other tissues. Whole-body planar and SPECT imaging were repeated after fatty meal ingestion at 28 hours in order to figure out whether this activity was physiologic or not.

Yersiniae enterocolitica, a gram negative rod-like organism, causes terminal ileitis and mesenteric adenitis in adolescents and adults. Some forms present with liver and spleen abscesses and have worse prognosis. We report a type 1 diabetic patient with a liver abscess mimicking metastatic liver disease who was successfully treated with percutaneous drainage and antibiotic administration; culture from blood was positive for Yersinia enterocolitica, but drainage material from the liver abscess did not yield a positive result for Yersinia enterocolitica.

There was no obvious lytic or sclerotic bone destruction accompanying these lesions on CT component of the study. After the patient received six courses of chemotherapy a repeat F 18 FDG-PET/CT was performed for evaluation of therapy response.

Materials And Methods: Seventy patients with a variety of neoplastic diseases, who had undergone both (18)F-FDG-PET/CT and BS and were eventually diagnosed as having metastatic bone disease, were enrolled in this study. The confirmation of the final diagnosis of bone metastasis was made by histopathological findings or clinical follow-up for 11 months, on average, including magnetic resonance imaging, (18)F-FDG-PET/CT or BS findings, showing progression of the lesions or their disappearance after therapy.

Purpose: This study was done to determine whether interruption of metformin before (18)F-FDG PET/CT imaging could prevent the increased (18)F-FDG uptake in the intestine caused by this drug.
Methods: Included in the study were 41 patients with known type 2 diabetes mellitus who were referred to our department for evaluation of various neoplastic diseases. Patients underwent two (18)F-FDG PET/CT scans, the first while they were on metformin and the second after they had stopped metformin.
A 29-year-old female patient who was being followed up for differentiated papillary thyroid carcinoma was referred to us for exploration of any possible metastasis since her serum thyroglobulin levels were high. The patient underwent an F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography study, and a pathologically increased FDG uptake at the left lower abdomen was detected corresponding to a solid, cystic lesion on CT images. The patient had a history of primary amenorrhea and, together with the magnetic resonance imaging findings of absent uterus, short and blind end vagina, a diagnosis of androgen insensitivity syndrome was made.
