Major depressive disorder (MDD), which is a prevalent psychiatric disorder, is characterized by sleep-wake disturbances. An underlying circadian rhythm disorder mainly may cause these disturbances. The study presented here was designed to investigate the existence of Period Circadian Regulator 3 () gene VNTR variant in MDD patients in Turkish population.

Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the quality of life in children with food allergies, the accompanying depression and anxiety disorders, and caregiving burden of their mothers.
Material And Methods: A total of 168 children with food allergy visiting our clinic and their mothers were included in the study group. The control group included 152 children who visited the healthy child follow-up clinic of our hospital and their mothers.
Aim: The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between peripheral inflammatory markers and aggression and impulsivity in schizophrenia patients with and without criminal histories.
Materials And Methods: The study was conducted with patients with schizophrenia involved in crimes and hospitalized in the Forensic Psychiatry ward of Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital and patients with schizophrenia not involved in crimes and hospitalized in the psychiatry ward of Elazığ Mental Health and Diseases Hospital. All participants completed the Buss-Waren Aggression Scale (BWAS), the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale-11 (BIS-11), and the Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS).

Introduction: Although patients with myocardial infarction (MI) history exhibit individual differences, several psychological problems can be observed in these patients. The present study aimed to investigate the correlation between defence mechanisms and other clinical and sociodemographic data in the early period in patients with MI history.
Material And Methods: Sixty patients diagnosed with MI and hospitalized in the cardiology department were included in the study.

To examine impulsivity, dominant temperaments, and childhood trauma in patients with bipolar I disorder who committed crimes by comparing them with bipolar I patients with no criminal history and with healthy controls. A total of 144 subjects in 3 groups (62 criminal history bipolar patients, 40 non-criminal bipolar patients, and 42 controls) participated in this cross-sectional study. All participants completed the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ), the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11), and the TEMPS-A (Temperament Evaluation of Memphis, Pisa, Paris, San Diego Autoquestionnaire).

Objective: We aimed to compare the electrocardiographic parameters in patients with methamphetamine use to healthy controls.
Methods: The study is a cross-sectional case-control study. Sixty-eight patients diagnosed with methamphetamine use disorder (MUD) according to DSM-5 criteria and 65 subjects in healthy control group who can match the patient group with demographic data were included in the study.
Purpose: This study aimed to examine optical coherence tomography findings in patients with opiate use disorder by comparing them with healthy controls.
Methods: The study included 30 opiate use disorder patients and 30 controls. The participants' detailed biomicroscopic examinations, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and both eye examinations were evaluated.
Objective: In our study, we aimed to examine Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) findings in patients diagnosed with methamphetamine use disorder (MUD) by comparing them with healthy controls.
Methods: Sixty-five people were included in our study and 130 eyes were evaluated; 33 cases were included in the patient group with MUD according to DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and 32 as the healthy control group. Detailed biomicroscopic examinations and then both eyes were evaluated through OCT by the same ophthalmologist.
Objective: Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a major health problem worldwide. Estrogen interacts with the central nervous system and has been shown to affect anxiety and depressive behavior. Estrogen mediates its effects by connecting its receptors, estrogen receptors 1 and 2.

Objective: Methamphetamine (METH) is a potent central nervous system (CNS) stimulant that rapidly enhances the release of neurotransmitters, including adrenaline, dopamine, and serotonin. It is also one of the most popular illicit drugs of choice worldwide known as "ice". In this study, we examined the neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) levels in patients with methamphetamine use disorder.

In the present study, the purpose was to examine the OCT findings of patients with Multiple Substance Use Disorder (MSUD) by comparing these findings with healthy controls.
Methods: The study included 30 MSUD and 30 controls.
Objective: We aimed to examine the electrocardiographic arrhythmia risk predictors in patients with opioid use disorder by P wave dispersion, QT dispersion, and by comparing Tp-e/QTc ratio with healthy controls.
Methods: One hundred seventeen patients who were diagnosed with opioid use disorder according to DSM-5 criteria and who were hospitalized in 25 Aralık Gaziantep State Hospital AMATEM (Alcohol and substance addiction treatment center) service and a healthy control group consisting of 168 subjects were included in the study. Electrocardiography (ECG) scans of all participants were performed in the supine position and at rest.
Objective: This study aims to investigate the levels of nesfatin-1-hormone in patients with Antisocial Personality Disorder (ASPD) and their relationship with clinical variables.
Methods: A total of 90 people (45 ASPD, 45 controls) were included in our study. Sociodemographic Data Form, Beck-Depression-Inventory (BDI), Beck-Anxiety-Inventory (BAI), Barratt Impulsivity Scale (BIS-11), Buss-Durkee-Hostility-Inventory (BDHI) were applied to all participants.
Schizophreniais a severe brain disease seen all over the world. There are studies showing that activator of transcription and developmental regulator AUTS2 (AUTS2) gene is involved in the predisposition to schizophrenia. In this study, we aimed to analyze the correlation between rs6943555 variant of AUTS2 gene and schizophrenia in a Turkish population.

Methods: This cross-sectional study, conducted from 2016 to 2017, compared the frequency of ferritin deficiency between 100 non-anemic fibromyalgia patients and 100 non-anemic individuals without FMS. Serum ferritin level of <30 ng/mL indicated iron deficiency.
In our study, we aimed to investigate the ganglion cell-inner plexiform layer thickness (GCIPL), retinal nerve fibre layer thickness (RNFL), mean macular volume (MMV), central macular thickness (CMT), mean macular thickness (MMT), and choroidal thickness (CT) values with optical coherence tomography (OCT) in patients who are diagnosed with alcohol use disorder (AUD). The study included 43 patients who were diagnosed with AUD, and 43 healthy controls. Detailed biomicroscopic examinations of all the participants, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, anterior and posterior segment examinations, and then, OCT measurements were carried out.
