The study examined soil and honey samples from the Maramureș region, assessing potentially toxic elements and their concentrations. The highest concentrations were found for (Cu), (Zn), (Pb), (Cr), (Ni), (Cd), (Co), and (As), while (Hg) remained below the detection limit. Samples near anthropogenic sources displayed elevated metal levels, with the Aurul settling pond and Herja mine being major contamination sources.

Unlabelled: The aim of this work was the retrospective study of the frequency of infections in surgically treated oncologic patients.

Material And Methods: Our research included 753 oncologic patients treated at the Second Surgical Clinic of the Regional Institute of Oncology, Iaşi, between January 2013 and December 2014, with the selection of cases which had infectious complications.

Plums, the most commonly consumed fruits from Romania, are fruits rich in bioactive compounds, such as antioxidants. This research work was carried out to investigate the antioxidant potential of twelve plum cultivars, fresh and stored during 10days at 4°C by using different methods (DPPH, ORAC and erythrocyte resistance to haemolysis). The results of the epidemiological, clinical and laboratory investigations, carried out in the 1994-1997 interval in the Iaşi district, on various populational groups, to indicate the prevalence of the antibodies anti-HVC possessors are presented.
