DNAzyme-based nanomachines (DNM) for the detection of DNA and RNA sequences (analytes) are multifunctional structures made of oligonucleotides. Their functions include tight analyte binding, highly selective analyte recognition, fluorescent signal amplification by multiple catalytic cleavages of a fluorogenic reporter substrate, and fluorogenic substrate attraction for an increase in sensor response. Functional units are attached to a common DNA scaffold for their cooperative action.

The unvaccinated population continues to be at risk of infection due to military use of variola virus or exposure to monkeypox virus in Africa and non-endemic areas. In cases of these diseases, rapid diagnosis is of great importance, since the promptness and effectiveness of therapeutic and quarantine measures depend on it.

We sought to evaluate the differences in performance of contemporary stereotactic radiosurgery platforms and also to compare them with earlier platform iterations from a previous benchmarking study.
Methods And Materials: The following platforms were selected as "state of the art" in 2022: Gamma Knife Icon (GK), CyberKnife S7 (CK), Brainlab Elements (Elekta VersaHD and Varian TrueBeam), Varian Edge with HyperArc (HA), and Zap-X.
The aim of the work was an experimental evaluation of the characteristics of the kit for the rapid immunochemical detection of orthopoxviruses (OPV). The kit is based on the method of one-stage dot-immunoassay on flat protein arrays using gold conjugates and a silver developer. Rabbit polyclonal antibodies against the vaccinia virus were used as capture and detection reagents.

This work presents the results of the comparative evaluation of a single-stage (rapid version) and two-stage protocol of dot-immunoassay based on plane protein array for detection of vaccinia virus (VACV), cowpoxvirus (CPXV) and ectromelia virus (ECTV) in viral culture materials with different degrees of purification. It has been established that rabbit polyclonal VACV-antibodies can be used in a one-stage dot-analysis, both as a capture agent immobilized on a substrate and as a detection reagent bound with colloidal gold particles.

However, the threat of infection by pathogenic orthopoxviruses persists and determines the need to develop sensitive and operational methods for indicating pathogens.
Objectives: Development of a sensitive, fast and easy-to-use immunochemical test for the detection of orthopoxviruses in the «point of care» format.
Initial screening of donors and population at high risk of infection with blood transmitted diseases involves a number of analyses using monospesific diagnostic systems, and therefore is expensive labor- and time-consuming process. The goal of this work is to construct a multiplex test enabling to carry out rapid initial complex testing at a low price. The paper describes a kit making it possible to detect simultaneously antibodies to six agents of the most significant blood transmitted diseases: HIV virus, hepatitis B and C viruses, cytomegalovirus, T.

The results of the study show that the sensitivity of the detection system with colloidal gold was approximately 8 times higher than that of the system with amplification "Super-CARD", 30 times higher than that of the system with conjugate of alkaline phosphatase, and 250 times higher than the sensitivity of the system with the peroxidase conjugate. Gold immunosols limit the direct detection of human IgG of 10 pg with dynamic range of optical signal change from 5 ng to 10 pg.

Methods: During 2010-2011, 17 consecutive patients (19-75 years old) with a VS underwent treatment with SRS or SRT in our center. Microsurgery was initially offered in all cases but was declined for various reasons.

The study was targeted to the investigation of possibilities of using in immunological analysis the sols on basis of bivalent cobalt compounds as a catalytic marker to ensure the trusted visual registration of analysis results in immunology reactions plats. The results of comparative evaluation of immune-enzyme and immune catalytic tests on the basis of several commercial diagnostic test systems of various national manufacturers are presented. The conclusion is derived that by the sensitivity and specificity the cobaltferous immunosols are not inferior to immuneperoxidase conjugated metabolites and even have an advantage due to the relative simplicity of immunosol preparation and the possibility of trusted non-instrument registration of results.

Clinical concentration of droperidol, seduxen, fentanyl were studied for their effects on in vitro immunity reaction with lymphocytes from donors and patients with lung carcinoma. In the donors, the agents caused no changes in E- and EAC-rosette formation. In the patients with lung carcinoma, droperidol elevated the number of theophylline-sensitive T lymphocytes, lowered theophylline-resistant ones and eventually normalized a theophylline-resistant to theophylline-sensitive T cell ratio.

The problems of radiation immunology in oncological practice are discussed using, by way of example, studies on the effect of radiation and combined therapy on the state of the immunity system in some cancer types. The authors present data on the development of secondary immunodeficiency states determined by disorder in lymphocyte level, cooperation, enzymatic properties and function in immune reactions. A possibility of correction of secondary immunodeficiency states after radiation and combined therapy with the help of immunomodulators was shown.

It was found that levamisole administered after carminomycin increased the intensity of delayed hypersensitivity in mice and only partially reduced immunoreactivity of the animals estimated by the number of antibody-forming cells in the spleen. No such effect was observed after injections of rubomycin.
