Machine learning approaches often involve evaluating a wide range of models due to various available architectures. This standard strategy can lead to a lack of depth in exploring established methods. In this study, we concentrated our efforts on a single deep learning architecture type to assess whether a focused approach could enhance performance in fault diagnosis.

The advent of new treatments has not eliminated the significant challenge of TB drug resistance. Repeated and inadequate exposure to drugs has led to the development of strains of the bacteria that are resistant to conventional treatments, making the eradication of the disease even more complex.

The disease has been rarely documented in non-human primates. This report details a disseminated and fatal case of PCM caused by Paracoccidioides brasiliensis in a western black-handed tamarin (Saguinus niger) under human care.

Patient and family-centered care strategies see patients and families as valuable healthcare team members and are therefore treated as essential clinical partners to achieve safe, high-quality care. Traditionally, hospitals have relied on physical presence as the primary strategy for including families in shared decision-making. During COVID-19, widespread visitor restrictions removed this primary strategy.

This scoping review aims to map patient safety culture strengthening strategies described in the literature.
Method: This scoping review follows the JBI methodology.
This work aimed to determine the engineering properties of hairless canary seeds ( L.) of the variety "CDC Maria" and the optimum combination of operating conditions of the dehulling process with a pilot-scale centrifugal dehuller. The engineering properties analyzed in this study were the principal dimensions, length (4.

Its symptoms are often confused with other syndromes, which can compromise clinical diagnosis and the failure to carry out specific laboratory tests. In this respect, this paper presents a study of three algorithms (Decision Tree, Random Forest and Adaboost) for predicting the outcome (cure or death) of individuals with leptospirosis.

The mycobacterial species can infect reptiles but the species Mycolicibacterium fortuitum was identified only in feces samples of ex situ Python regius and was isolated from granulomatous lesions of an ex situ Iguana iguana when was still part of the genus Mycobacterium. This article aims to report a mycobacteria infection case in a female Corallus batesii kept under human care.

There seems to be a consensus that adolescents worldwide are not getting enough sleep. This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) in adolescents using the item response theory. A psychometric study was conducted with 2206 adolescents aged 18 and 19 years in the city of São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil.

Automating infrared spectra interpretation in microplastic identification is of interest since most current methodologies are conducted manually or semi-automatically, which requires substantial processing time and presents a higher accuracy limited to single-polymer materials. Furthermore, when it comes to multicomponent or weathered polymeric materials commonly found in aquatic environments, identification usually becomes considerably depreciated as peaks shift and new signals are frequently observed, representing a significant deviation from reference spectral signatures. Therefore, this study aimed to develop a reference modeling framework for polymer identification through infrared spectra processing, addressing the limitations above.

These symptoms contribute to reduction of brain reserve capacity and, in addition, they present unfavorable implications, such as: poor prognosis for the disease, increased functional decline, increased burden on the caregiver and institutionalization. This scenario makes neuropsychiatric symptoms one of the biggest problems in Alzheimer's disease, and gives rise to a need for treatments focused on improving these symptoms.
