The incidence of CRC varies significantly between high-income countries (HICs) and low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), with higher rates of incidence but lower mortality in HICs. Factors such as genetic predisposition, lifestyle, and dietary habits play significant roles in CRC development, with the Western diet and limited access to screening contributing to increased incidence.
