Interprofessional education is expected to promote collaborative practice and should therefore be included in health professionals' curricula. Reports on interprofessional curricular development and its evaluation are rare. We therefore undertook a comprehensive quantitative and qualitative evaluation of a new, mandatory course on interprofessional collaboration for medical students during their third year of the Bachelor of Medicine study programme.

In October 2019, a first interprofessional education (IPE) day was held in the canton of Zurich with the aim of teaching interprofessional skills to participating students.
Methodology: The IPE day was developed by an interprofessional team of students.
Patient-centredness (PCN) is an increasingly demanded objective in health care and has gained importance for the care situation, for research, and the education of healthcare professions. The literature shows that the term PCN is not uniformly defined. Key aspects for the concept of PCN can be found in the integrative model and its dimensions by Scholl and colleagues (2014), which are incorporated into the acquisition of competencies in Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) examination formats.

The purpose of the present study was to examine the pattern of HA deposition and the mechanisms of HA synthesis in the MRL-Fas(lpr) mouse model of lupus nephritis.
Methods: Kidneys from normal and autoimmune mice were examined for HA content by immunofluorescence staining.

The accumulation of hyaluronan (HA) in the renal cortex is a characteristic feature of inflammatory renal diseases. Fragments of HA derived from high molecular weight precursors are known to display inflammatory effects in vitro and could, therefore, participate in immune renal injury. To understand the mechanisms of HA fragmentation in vivo we examined the expression of recently characterized mammalian hyaluronidases in normal and autoimmune kidneys and in cell lines.
