Purpose: Cervical screening is used to detect and treat precancers to prevent invasive cancers. However, successful prevention also requires adequate follow-up and treatment of individuals with abnormal screening results. The aim was to investigate demographics, clinical characteristics, and follow-up status for individuals needing colposcopy after an abnormal screening result.

Current research identifies additional clinical characteristics such as phase angle (PhA) associated with SGA. This study aimed to assess the overall correlation between PhA and SGA; associations between PhA and SGA by body mass index, and to identify clinical characteristics associated with SGA.

Methods: A mixed methods "secret shopper" syringe purchase study was conducted in the fall of 2022 with 38 community pharmacies in Maricopa and Pima Counties, Arizona.
Objective: To report the radiographic appearance of a bioabsorbable biocomposite tibial tuberosity advancement cage at least 1 year after implantation. Design Retrospective case series.
Methods: Medical records (February 2014-March 2015) of dogs receiving a biocomposite tibial tuberosity advancement cage were reviewed.
Objective: To report infection rate, implant removal rate, and postoperative antibiotic therapy after tibial tuberosity advancement (TTA) in dogs.
Study Design: Retrospective study.
Animals: One thousand seven hundred sixty-eight stifles in 1,732 dogs.
The Kuiper Belt is a distant region of the outer Solar System. On 1 January 2019, the New Horizons spacecraft flew close to (486958) 2014 MU, a cold classical Kuiper Belt object approximately 30 kilometers in diameter. Such objects have never been substantially heated by the Sun and are therefore well preserved since their formation.

The aim of the present study was to compare the developmental pattern of in vivo-derived (IVD), IVF-derived and handmade cloning-derived (NT-HMC) Day 225 bovine concepti using established procedures. Pregnancy diagnosis was performed on Day 30 following blastocyst transfer on Day 7.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate pediatric trainees' engagement, knowledge acquisition, and satisfaction with nutrition modules delivered online in interactive and non-interactive formats.
Methods: From December 2010 through August 2011, pediatric trainees from seventy-three (73) different U.
Surgery for cranial cruciate ligament disease is often recommended; however, it is unclear if one procedure is superior. The aim of this systematic review was to answer the a priori question, "Is there a surgical procedure that will allow a consistent return to normal clinical function in dogs with cranial cruciate ligament disease and is that procedure superior to others?" A systematic literature search was performed through September 2013. Peer reviewed publication in the English language and 6 mo of postoperative follow-up were required.

Methods: We conducted a Web-based survey of residents from 10 training programs through the Continuity Research Network of the Academic Pediatric Association (CORNET). Surveys included 6 vignettes of patients receiving low-dose inhaled steroids with guideline- and non-guideline-based indicators of asthma status and 1 stable patient on high-intensity medication.
The Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute guidelines require special processing of whole blood specimens with hematocrits greater than 55% due to the possibility of spurious prolongation of routine coagulation studies (PT, aPTT). As samples with hematocrits above 60% are rare at our institution, our study seeks to determine the effect of relative citrate excess on routine coagulation studies in samples with hematocrits of 60% to determine whether special processing is necessary. A calculated volume of 3.

The prolongation in seconds of PTT 1:1 mix after incubation in the confirmed presence or absence of LAC was correlated to strength of the LAC as well as length of incubation (1 vs. 2 hours).

The purpose of this study was to identify DNA markers predictive for differences among cattle for traits associated with feed efficiency. Crossbred steers were fed a high-corn diet for 140 days and average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily gain (ADG), and residual feed intake (RFI) phenotypes were obtained.

While dabigatran has been approved for use without the need for routine therapeutic monitoring, there are clinical scenarios in which monitoring can help guide clinical management. We report herein the application of a recently described plasma-diluted thrombin time (DTI assay) used to monitor intravenous DTI as a useful and easily implemented method to monitor oral DTIs.

The development of genetic markers to enhance selection of more efficient animals that require less feed while still achieving acceptable levels of production has the potential to substantially reduce production costs. A genome-wide marker association approach based on the Illumina BovineSNP50 BeadChip™ was used to identify genomic regions affecting average daily feed intake (ADFI), average daily gain (ADG) and residual feed intake traits in a population of 1159 crossbred steers.

In both, anionic phospholipids accelerated activation of prothrombin by factor Xa. PPA levels were lower in the chromogenic vs the clot-based assay, with poor correlation between methods: normal samples, mean ± SD, 27 ± 17 vs 590 ± 414 nmol/L (n = 24; r(2) = 0.
