We carried out a retrospective study of acute gastroenteritis (AGE) outbreaks reported between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2021 in Catalonia (Spain) to compare the incidence from 2015 to 2019 with that observed from 2020 to 2021. We observed a higher incidence rate of outbreaks during the prepandemic period (16.89 outbreaks/1,000,000 person-years) than during the pandemic period (6.

Given the low incidence of musculoskeletal tumors during pregnancy, publications on the subject are scarce and treatment guidelines nonexistent. We present five cases of musculoskeletal tumors in pregnant women, three with metastasizing malignant neoplasms and two with aggressive giant cell tumors. The three patients diagnosed during their gestational period were operated before the end of pregnancy, adapting surgical techniques to minimize risk to mother and fetus.

The aim was to examine trends in hepatitis A during 2005-2015 and assess risk factors by age group. We carried out an observational epidemiological study of the incidence and risk factors of hepatitis A reported to the surveillance system.

Networks of organizations structures including the whole of the local actors facilitate the generation of synergies and enable greater effectiveness and efficiency of the joint action from the different actors on a same landscape. General Practitioners (GPs) are known to be reluctant to take on genetic consultations. Current evidence suggests that black and ethnic minorities are poorly represented in cancer genetics clinics.

We previously demonstrated that the natural redox partner and cofactor of the promiscuous P450s 3A4 and 2D6 can be efficiently substituted with some cheap hydrogen peroxide donors or organic peroxides. We report here that P450 2D6 maintains as much as 76% of its activity when used in buffer/organic emulsions.
