Background: The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 profoundly impacted healthcare worldwide, and Peru was particularly affected, experiencing the highest COVID-19 case fatality rate globally.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective comparative study of patients presenting with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) at a public Peruvian national referral center specializing in cerebrovascular diseases. Introduction: Person-centered care (PCC) includes life story, a form of reminiscence therapy that can be useful in the treatment of dementia. We compared the efficacy of using a digital or conventional life story book (LSB) on depressive symptoms, communication, cognition, and quality of life.

Fibrovascular polyps are extremely rare benign neoplasias of the esophagus, which usually originate in the lower cricoid area. They do not produce any discomfort in the patient for a long time, however it may make itself evident by the patient's regurgitation of the polyp, producing asphyxia or, more frequently, dysphagia. The case of a 58 year old male patient is presented herein, with a 9 month record of dysphagia, weight loss and intermittent melena.
