Mass drug administration (MDA), where the entire population is treated, would bring additional health benefits but will also increase implementation costs.

Background And Objective: The focusing of resources to COVID-19 response hampered and disadvantaged primary care services including that for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), compromising continuity of care and hence, patients' disease status. However, studies from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) remain sparse; therefore, evidence generation on how the pandemic impacted the provision of these primary care services in LMICs will help further understand how policies can be reframed, and programs be made more efficient and effective despite similar crises. To bridge this gap, the study investigated how the pandemic affected the implementation of NCD care at the primary care level in the Philippines.

The aim of this study is to explore baseline variables at the intake process and establish the predictive value of the individual trajectories of the patients. We recruited 259 patients undergoing an integrative psychotherapy network of psychotherapists from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Epigenetic-based differentiation therapy for Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Despite the development of novel therapies for acute myeloid leukemia, outcomes remain poor for most patients, and therapeutic improvements are an urgent unmet need. Although treatment regimens promoting differentiation have succeeded in the treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia, their role in other acute myeloid leukemia subtypes needs to be explored. Here we identify and characterize two lysine deacetylase inhibitors, CM-444 and CM-1758, exhibiting the capacity to promote myeloid differentiation in all acute myeloid leukemia subtypes at low non-cytotoxic doses, unlike other commercial histone deacetylase inhibitors.

Background: This study aims to evaluate healthcare systems and pandemic responses in relation to marginalized and vulnerable groups, identify populations requiring urgent care, and assess the differential impacts on their health during the pandemic.

Methods: Data were collected by the Asia-Pacific Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (APO)-National University of Singapore and APO-International Health Policy Program consortium members: Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, and Singapore. Data were collected through a combination of semi-structured interviews, policy document reviews, and analysis of secondary data.

In this study we evaluate the outcomes of patients subject to ICOD and identify radiological and clinical factors associated with progression to DNC. In this first prospective multicenter study we tested by multivariate regression the association of clinical and radiological severity features with progression to DNC.

We used proximity loggers to map the social network of 15 group-housed suckling Holstein calves over a 70-day period divided into five trial periods. Tag ID, encountered tag ID, and encounter start time and length were collected from the proximity loggers. Use of 3D matrices and trendlines distinguished three encounter types: "rapid decline" (up to ~ 120 s), "moderate decline" (~120 to ~ 600 s), and "exponential decline" (longer than ~ 600 s).
