This study is focused on the fabrication and characterization of various dual waveguides through femtosecond (fs) laser irradiation of GeO-based glass samples. The objective of the present work is to develop diverse waveguide configurations, namely straight, S-bend and Y-shaped waveguides within GeO-PbO glasses embedded with silver nanoparticles, utilizing a double-guide platform, for photonic applications such as resonant rings and beam splitters. Enhanced guidance was observed with a larger radius of curvature (80 mm) among the two distinct S-bend waveguides produced.

Research on therapeutic itineraries in child and adolescent mental health has been predominantly carried out in Child and Adolescent Psychosocial Care Centers or in regions that have these services. To expand the understanding of this field, this study analyzed the therapeutic itineraries of children and adolescents assisted by the Multiprofessional Mental Health Team service - locally known as "Mental Health" - in an inner municipality without Child and Adolescent Psychosocial Care Centers. Semistructured interviews were conducted with 12 mothers and two fathers to understand their motivations for seeking care, the places they visited, and the experiences they had in this process.

Using a deep-sea remote lander video system, we observed multiple C. owstonii individuals alive on the footage at 1054 m off Little Cayman, Cayman Islands, Western Atlantic Ocean, marking, to our knowledge, the first record of the species in the Greater Antilles, central Caribbean Sea, while also adding a new species locality record for the Cayman Islands.
