This study aimed to evaluate the effect of animal fat replacement (chicken skin) with hydrolyzed collagen (HC, 0, 50 and 75%) on the characteristics of burgers with normal chicken breast fillets (FN) and WS. The samples were subjected to physical-chemical characterization, oxidative stability (TBARS), texture, and sensory profile.

In burgers, the use of WS fillet led to an increase in lipid content and a reduction in moisture content.

Restorative treatment becomes necessary in cases of severe MIH, characterized by posteruptive breakdown, which exhibits a wide range of clinical characteristics. Until approximately 20 years ago, all techniques, materials, and research were developed for treating caries lesions, not hypomineralisation.

PHC financing is therefore central in this context, with variations in sufficiency and regularity depending on the "political dimension" of health systems. Research that systematically examines the political factors and arrangements influencing PHC financing is justified from a global and multidisciplinary perspective.

Methods: A sample of 476 schoolchildren, aged 6-10 years, were evaluated for MIH and caries diagnosis, using the Severity Scoring System (MIH-SSS) and the International Caries Detection and Assessment System (ICDAS), respectively. From the ICDAS, the DF-s/ D-s and df-s were calculated.

Human bacterial infections significantly contribute to the increase in healthcare-related burdens. This scenario drives the study of novel techniques for the early and precise diagnosis of infectious processes. Some alternatives include Nuclear Medicine- and Molecular Imaging-based strategies.

This study characterized guava fibre as a fibrous ingredient and evaluated its effects when included in extruded diets for dogs on nutrient digestibility, faecal traits, fermentation products, gastrointestinal transit time and palatability. Four diets were formulated: CO (control diet, no fibrous ingredients added), GF3 (3% guava fibre), GF6 (6% guava fibre) and GF12 (12% guava fibre).

The expression of prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is upregulated in prostate cancer (PCa) cells and PSMA-ligands have been radiolabeled and used as radiopharmaceuticals for targeted radionuclide therapy (TRT), single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) or positron emission tomography (PET) molecular imaging, and radioguided surgery in PCa patients. Herein, we aimed at radiolabeling the PSMA-I&S cold kit with Tc, resulting in a radiopharmaceutical with high radiochemical yield (RCY) and stability for SPECT imaging and radioguided surgery in PCa malignancies. Various pre-clinical assays were conducted to evaluate the [Tc]Tc-PSMA-I&S obtained by the cold kit.

Aim: To compare the operational aspects and diagnostic ability of the MIH index (simplified/MIH_s and extended/MIH_e) with the MIH-Severity Scoring System (MIH-SSS) in classifying and diagnosing MIH.
Design: This cross-sectional study assessed the indices in a homogeneous group of 680 6- to 10-year-old schoolchildren in Bauru, Brazil, who had at least one first permanent molar, ensuring consistent conditions.
The article analyzes aspects of the change in the legal nature of private healthcare from "for-profit" to "non-profit" entities. It is an exploratory research, supported by the policy analysis framework, focusing on secondary data from the Cadastro Nacional de Estabelecimentos de Saúde (National Registry of Health Facilities - CNES) from 2012 to 2020 and a case study. The results show an increase in these entities in all regions of the country and evidence that they behave like profit-oriented entities.

Methods: Sixty-six Ross 308 AP broilers, 47 days old, of both sexes, weighing about 3.51 kg, were slaughtered according to standard industrial practices, and evaluated for meat color, pH, chemical composition, collagen content, fatty acid profile, and histopathological parameters.
The restoration of teeth affected by molar-incisor hypomineralization (MIH) is challenging. To this end, preformed stainless steel crowns (SSCs) are a good option; however, their conventional use involves the removal of tooth structure. In the Hall technique, the SSC is seated over the primary teeth without caries removal or tooth preparation, aiming to seal carious lesions.

This study evaluated the effects of ES combined with PCL + β-TCP 5% scaffolds obtained by rotary jet spinning (RJS) in the regeneration of bone defects in the calvaria of Wistar rats. We used 120 animals with induced bone defects divided into 4 groups (n = 30): (C) without treatment; (S) with PCL+ β-TCP 5% scaffold; (ES) treated with ES (10 μA/5 min); (ES + S) with PCL + β-TCP 5% scaffold.

Radiolabeled peptides with high specificity for overexpressed receptors in tumor cells hold great promise for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. In this work, we aimed at comparing the radiolabeling efficiency and biological properties of two different RGD analogs: GRGDYV and GRGDHV, labeled with iodine-131 (I) and technetium-99m-tricarbonyl complex [Tc][Tc(CO)]. Additionally, we evaluated their interaction with the αβ integrin molecule, overexpressed in a wide variety of tumors, including glioblastoma.

Remineralizing agents such as sodium fluoride varnish seem to reduce the sensitivity of teeth with MIH, but long-term clinical trials with large samples are still needed for more evidence about its effectiveness as a desensitizing agent before its clinical recommendation.
Objective: This randomized clinical trial aims to compare three treatment interventions for teeth with MIH and hypersensitivity.
This study aimed to investigate the application of low-intensity electrostimulation (ES) and electromagnetic stimulation (EM) associated with bioactive glass (BG) or allogeneic grafts (BB) in bone regeneration. A cell viability test on osteoblasts (UMR-106) was performed in the presence of BB and BG grafts associated with ES (10 μA/5 min) and EM (500 Hz/2 min). Critical defects (25 mm ) in calvaria were generated in male Wistar rats, and bone regeneration was evaluated on the 30th, 60th, and 120th days after surgery.

Recently, PSMA-directed radiopharmaceuticals have been developed, allowing the pinpointing of tumors with the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) or Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) imaging techniques. The aim of the present work was to standardize and validate an automatic synthesis module-based radiolabeling protocol for [Ga]Ga-PSMA-11, as well as to produce a radiopharmaceutical for PET imaging of PCa malignancies.

The development of heterogeneous catalysts capable of selectively converting lignin model compounds into products of added value offers an exciting avenue to explore in the production of renewable chemical feedstocks. The use of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) in such chemical transformations relies largely on the presence of accessible open metal sites found within highly porous networks that simultaneously allow for fast transport and strong interactions with desired substrates. Here, we present the first systematic study on the modulation of catalytic performance of a cationic framework, [Cu(L)(HO)](NO)·5.
