- - The study evaluated two PCR primer sets (271 bp and 832 bp) to detect the babA2 gene in 52 H. pylori clinical samples from patients with chronic gastritis, duodenal ulcer, and stomach cancer in St. Petersburg, Russia.
- - The 271 bp primer set identified 90.4% of the strains as babA2-positive, while the 832 bp set detected only 51.9%; however, there were no significant differences in detection rates between the two sets.

Aim: Studies of Helicobater pylori infection rate among population of North-western federal district including St. Petersburg in 2007 - 2009.
Materials And Methods: 1021 individuals with various digestive tract pathologies as well as healthy individuals and blood donors were examined.
Unlabelled: The clinical value of the analgesic effect of opioids administered peripherally (except for intraarticular administration) has not been clearly demonstrated. The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that fentanyl, added to a local anesthetic for wound infiltration, can enhance postoperative analgesia via a peripheral mechanism. Patients with inguinal herniorrhaphy performed under spinal anesthesia were randomly assigned to one of two groups (n = 10 each).
