- The study aimed to assess the prevalence of pathologies linked to impacted third molars in a Kosovar population using panoramic radiographs, as no previous data existed.
- A total of 5,515 patient images were analyzed, revealing that 29.5% showed associated pathologies, with the most common being root resorption of adjacent teeth (23.7%).
- The findings suggest that targeted prevention strategies could be developed to address these pathologies, particularly since root resorption was most prevalent in the maxilla.
