The present study aimed to evaluate the effects of dipyrone, an indispensable analgesic, anti-pyretic and anti-spasmodic used in emergency departments, on nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus cells . After surgical biopsy, primary cell cultures were prepared from intact intervertebral disc tissues. Dipyrone was administered to the cultures in the experimental groups except for the control group.

Aim: To discuss the management of patients with the syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) developing after subarachnoid hemorrhage, in a comparative manner in the light of the literature.

Material And Methods: Without country or language restrictions, articles with high evidential value found in electronic databases were compared to our patients?

Results: After the literature review, three articles were included for systematic evaluation. Desmopressin was administered to the patients for the treatment of hyponatremia, volume contraction, and negative sodium balance caused by SIADH.

Purpose: Urethral stricture, known as a scar formation leading to urethral lumen stricture in sub-epithelial tissue, is the most common late complication of transurethral prostate resection (TURP). The aim of study is to evaluate efficacy of colchicine treatment in preventing urethral stricture recurrence in patients after internal urethrotomy, and to determine whether colchicine treatment had a sustained effect in decreasing stricture recurrences in patients with concomitant diseases.

Methods: Patient data with weak urine stream and/or voiding difficulty, and who had internal urethrotomy in Urology Department of Maltepe University Hospital between dates 01 January 2011 and December 2016 were collected.

Purpose: To compare the outcomes, sessions and shock wave numbers in patients undergoing standard procedure shock wave lithotripsy (SWL) and patients undergoing SWL with mild hydronephrosis induced by full-bladderfollowing oral hydration before SWL procedure for lower calyceal stones.

Materials And Methods: Between January 2014- January 2016 a total of 371 patients who underwent SWL, for lower pole calyceal stones ? 2 cm, were included into the study. 127 patients were treated in the supine position (Group A), 123 in the prone position (Group B) and 121 in the prone position with full bladder and mild hydronephrosis checked by ultrasound before procedure (Group C).

Unlabelled: Leptospirosis is a commonly encountered type of zoonosis, especially in tropical regions. There is insufficient data regarding its frequency in non-tropical regions such as Turkey. Although leptospirosis presents with a mild icteric form in nearly 90% of cases, it can lead to Weils disease characterized by fever as well as fulminant hepatorenal and respiratory failure, in approximately 5 - 10% of cases.
