Gastric adenocarcinoma with enteroblastic differentiation.

Introduction: Gastric adenocarcinoma with enteroblastic differentiation (GAED) is a rare entity with worse prognosis compared to conventional gastric adenocarcinomas. Its histological characteristics are fetal gut-like architecture and tumor cells with cytoplasmic clearing, as well as positive immunohistochemical reaction to at least one of the enteroblastic markers. Hereby, we present a case of GAED with neuroendocrine marker positivity, with whole exome sequencing (WES), and an updated literature review.

The prognostic value of histological grade determined after neoadjuvant chemotherapy of breast cancer.

Histological grade is a validated prognostic factor of breast cancer but may show alterations following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT). Its reporting after NACT is recommended by several guidelines, but evidence of its retained prognostic impact is scarce. Patients treated with NACT followed by surgery and having sufficient residual tumour for the determination of grade were analysed for the survival effects of posttreatment grade (yG).

Introduction: Colorectal tubular adenomas displaying clear cell change are rare entities, with unknown clinical relevance, prognosis, immunohistochemical, and molecular features.

Case Presentation: Hereby we report a case of a 43-year-old female patient with a rectosigmoid polyp. Histologically, conventional dysplasia was visible with scattered areas displaying clear cell change.

This study reports on PHOSPHATE TRANSPORTER 4-7 (CrPHT4-7) from Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, a member of the PHT4 transporter family, which exhibits remarkable similarity to AtPHT4;4 from Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana), a chloroplastic ascorbate transporter.

Current proteomic technologies focus on the quantification of protein levels, while little effort is dedicated to the development of system approaches to simultaneously monitor proteome variability and abundance. Protein variants may display different immunogenic epitopes detectable by monoclonal antibodies. Epitope variability results from alternative splicing, posttranslational modifications, processing, degradation, and complex formation and possesses dynamically changing availability of interacting surface structures that frequently serve as reachable epitopes and often carry different functions.

Introduction: Vaccine hesitancy is complex and multifactorial and a threat to global health. Uptake of some recommended childhood immunisations in Ireland remains below World Health Organisation targets. The aim of this study was to determine factors associated with vaccine uptake in Ireland.

Clinical and MRI outcomes of subacromial impingement syndrome with conservative treatment: a 21-month prospective study.

Background: Information is lacking on the natural history of early stages of degenerative rotator cuff disease. Such information can be obtained by using clinical and imaging assessment after conservative treatment in affected patients.

Hypothesis: Subacromial impingement syndrome is a clinical presentation that can be associated with early stages of the disease.

First Synthesis of 3-Glycopyranosyl-1,2,4-Triazines and Some Cycloadditions Thereof.

-glycopyranosyl derivatives of six-membered heterocycles are scarcely represented in the chemical literature and the title 3-glycopyranosyl-1,2,4-triazines are completely unknown. In this paper, the first synthesis of this compound class is accomplished by the cyclocondensation of -glycosyl formamidrazones and 1,2-dicarbonyl derivatives. In addition, the synthesis of -glycopyranosyl 1,2,4-triazin-5(4)-ones was also carried out by the transformation of the above formamidrazones with α-keto-carboxylic esters.

Real-Time Monitoring of the Effectiveness of Six COVID-19 Vaccines against Laboratory-Confirmed COVID-19 in Hungary in 2021 Using the Screening Method.

Several studies have reported the waning effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccines. This study aims to demonstrate the applicability of the screening method for estimating vaccine effectiveness (VE) in a pandemic. We report VE in Hungary, estimated with the screening method, in 2021, covering a period of Alpha and the Delta variant, including the booster dose roll-out.

Views on COVID-19 vaccination of young children in Ireland, results from a cross-sectional survey of parents.

Vaccination of children aged 5 years and older is recommended as part of a multifaceted strategy to protect children against SARS CoV-2 infection and serious disease, and to control the spread of infection. COVID-19 vaccine trials in children aged less than5 years are underway, however, parental acceptance of vaccines for this age group is unknown. Between June and August 2021, a cross-sectional national survey of parental attitudes towards childhood vaccination in Ireland was conducted.

Value of a clinical test of sub-acromial impingement to predict response to physiotherapy with dynamic humeral centering: A preliminary study.

Background: Dynamic humeral centering (DHC) is a physiotherapy modality that aims to prevent sub-acromial impingement of rotator cuff tendons. We recently developed a new clinical manoeuver - the Viggo-Cochin test - to enhance the ability of the Neer test to detect sub-acromial impingement. Here we hypothesised whether the DHC effect may differ between individuals with positive and negative Viggo-Cochin test results.

Our study aimed to examine the link between gratitude and subjective well-being among religious and non-religious people.

Single-stranded oligodeoxynucleotides (ssODNs) are widely used as DNA repair templates in CRISPR/Cas precision genome editing. However, the underlying mechanisms of single-strand templated DNA repair (SSTR) are inadequately understood, constraining rational improvements to precision editing. Here we study SSTR at CRISPR/Cas12a-induced DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) in the eukaryotic model green microalga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

Prevalence of antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 in Irish hospital healthcare workers.

Hospital healthcare workers (HCWs) are at increased risk of contracting COVID-19 infection. We aimed to determine the seroprevalence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) antibodies in HCWs in Ireland. Two tertiary referral hospitals in Irish cities with diverging community incidence and seroprevalence were identified; COVID-19 had been diagnosed in 10.

However, cancer can contribute to the experience of positive psychological changes, namely posttraumatic growth. Morningness-eveningness (chronotype) indicates the preferred time of intellectual and physical activity. This cross-sectional study had two main aims. The first aim was to explore associations among chronotype, quality of life, and relationship quality.

Ongoing mumps outbreak among adolescents and young adults, Ireland, August 2018 to January 2020.

Between 18 August 2018 and 24 January 2020, 3,736 mumps cases were notified in Ireland. The highest numbers of notifications were observed in the age group 15-24 years. Vaccination status was reported for 32% (n = 1,199) of cases: 72% of these had received two doses of measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine.

Background: The Neer, Hawkins, and Yocum clinical tests detect sub-acromial impingement as a pathogenic process of degenerative rotator cuff disease. Their reproducibility has been little investigated.

Objectives: We tested the reproducibility of the Neer, Hawkins, and Yocum clinical tests for detecting this sub-acromial impingement and also an original clinical manoeuver, the countertest with elevation with lateral rotation (CELR), which is a test of sub-acromial impingement.
