Effect of Bias Arc on Microstructure and Corrosion Resistance of Q235/304 Dissimilar-Steel-Welded Joints.

To fully exploit the advantages of steel, the welding connection of dissimilar steels has been developed. In this work, the metallographic microstructures, elemental distributions, and electrochemical corrosion properties of the Q235 and 304 welds under different bias arcs were investigated. The arc bias caused the Q235-side heat-affected zone to widen, the microstructure consisted of ferrite and pearlite, and the ratio varied with decreasing distance from the fusion line.

Optical behaviors of Mn-modified cubic type ZnTiO:Eu nanocrystals: Application in optical thermometers based on fluorescence intensity ratio and lifetime.

Cubic type ZnTiO nanophosphors were fabricated by using hydrothermal method. The photoluminescence behaviors of Eu/Mn co-doped ZnTiO crystals and Mn-modified ZnTiO:Eu crystals were investigated. The red and near-infrared emissions assigned to Eu and Mn were observed at the excitation wavelength of 465 nm for Eu/Mn co-doped ZnTiO crystals and Mn modified ZnTiO:Eu crystals.

Dual-mode optical thermometer based on fluorescence intensity ratio of Eu/Mn co-doping zinc titanate phosphors.

Zinc titanate phosphors containing Eu/ Mn as active ions were synthesized by using the solid-state method. XRD patterns of the powders confirmed that the samples were a mixture of cubic ZnTiO and hexagonal ZnTiO phases. The luminous intensity of ZTO: Euphosphors and ZTO: Mn phosphors both increased with the increase of doping concentration, reaching the maximum at 2 mol% Eu and 0.

Microstructure and Constitutive Equation of Hot Compressive Fe-15Mn-15Al-5Ni-1C Low-Density Steel.

The hot deformation behavior and dynamic recrystallization (DRX) of Fe-15Mn-15Al-5Ni-1C low-density steel in the as-cast state was investigated via hot compression experiments over temperature and strain rate ranges of 925 to 1150 °C and 0.01 to 10 s, respectively. A constitutive equation and a critical DRX model of the Fe-15Mn-15Al-5Ni-1C low-density steel were also constructed.

A Gleeble-2000D thermal simulation machine was used to investigate the high-temperature hot compression deformation of an extruded Mg-16Al magnesium alloy under various strain rates (0.0001-0.1 s) and temperatures (523-673 K).
