Article Synopsis
  • - The study investigated Sm-doped SrO-NbO-AlO-GaO-SiO glasses by examining how varying the AlO/GaO ratio influences their structure and orange light emission properties through various analytical methods.
  • - Increasing the AlO content led to a higher absorption coefficient and non-bridged oxygen bonds, enhancing the glass's luminescence, with optimal results at an AlO/GaO ratio of 0.25, showing pronounced emission peaks.
  • - The findings suggest that these silica-aluminum-gallium glasses exhibit strong potential for applications in orange-red LEDs and solid-state lasers, confirmed by their favorable colorimetric properties.

Overcoming the restriction of the energy gap (700-800 cm-1) in Er3+-doped upconversion (UC) materials to achieve high detection accuracy is crucial for practical temperature detection applications. Herein, we design a feasible route based on the different thermal response behaviors of various hosts to enhance the SA value in a double perovskite NaLaMgWO6:Er,Mo system. The maximum SA value is 222.
