Detection of circulating tumor cells using a microfluidic chip for diagnostics and therapeutic prediction in mediastinal neuroblastoma.

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) have served as noninvasive tumor biomarkers in many types of cancer. Here, we detected CTCs in mediastinal neuroblastoma (mNB) patients for use as diagnostic and treatment response predictive biomarkers. We employed a cascaded filter deterministic lateral displacement microfluidic chip (CFD-Chip) to enrich CTCs in peripheral blood from 32 mNB patients and 7 healthy children.

Identification and analysis of inflammation-related biomarkers in tetralogy of Fallot.

Background: Studies have revealed that inflammatory response is relevant to the tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). However, there are no studies to systematically explore the role of the inflammation-related genes (IRGs) in TOF. Therefore, based on bioinformatics, we explored the biomarkers related to inflammation in TOF, laying a theoretical foundation for its in-depth study.

Background: Cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) causes coagulation disorders after surgery. This study aimed to compare the coagulation parameters after congenital cardiac surgery with miniaturised CPB (MCPB) versus conventional CPB (CCPB).

Methods: We gathered information about children who underwent cardiac surgery between 1/1/2016 and 12/31/2019.

Clinical analysis of extralobar pulmonary sequestration with torsion in children: report of 6 cases.

Background: Extralobar pulmonary sequestration is an uncommon congenital pulmonary malformation. Clinically, pedicle torsion of extralobar pulmonary sequestration is extremely rare. Due to inadequate awareness of its atypical presentation and imaging characteristics, clinical diagnosis is very difficult, and it is extremely easy to misdiagnose.
