2D polymers have emerged as a highly promising category of nanomaterials, owing to their exceptional properties. However, the understanding of their fracture behavior and failure mechanisms remains still limited, posing challenges to their durability in practical applications. This work presents an in-depth study of the fracture kinetics of a 2D polyimine film, utilizing in situ tensile testing within a transmission electron microscope (TEM).

TNTs can initially be formed from thin finger-like actin assembly-driven protrusions or cell contacts and dislodgment. However, it remains unclear whether the mechanical properties of TNTs formed by these two mechanisms are the same.

Quasi-experiment was carried out (N = 121) in which patients were randomly divided into a control (N = 61) and an experimental group (N = 60). Following a six-weeks, twelve-sessions trial involving both passive and active music therapy, it was discovered that the music group therapy intervention decreased the anxiety and depression levels of dementia patients in the experimental group as compared to the control group, which did not receive any music therapy.

However, the condition of children with HSP changes rapidly; not all children are able to undergo EGD on time, and some hospitals do not have a pediatric EGD unit. Therefore, assessing the risk factors for developing DU in HSP using simple and readily available indicators is essential.

A number of 3-(3-indolomethyl)oxindoles, which may possess biological activity, were obtained in good yields with high diastereo- and enantioselectivities (up to 97% yield, >19 : 1 dr, 98% ee). Furthermore, time-dependent reversal of diastereoselectivity enabled access to optically active diastereomers.

Epigenetic abnormalities, especially abnormal histone acetylation and microRNAs (miRNAs) dysregulation, are a group of epigenetic patterns that contribute to leukemia progression. However, their regulatory mechanisms in Ph(+)B-ALL have not been fully elucidated.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence of obesity, especially central obesity, while investigating its association with upper gastrointestinal diseases in the high-risk population of Yangzhong, a typical high-risk area for UGC in southeastern China. We conducted a cross-sectional study from November 2017 to June 2021 involving 6736 residents aged 40-69.

The adaptor Rack1 can interact with multiple transcription factors and modulate their activation and/or stability.

The resulting droplets are expected to be applied to droplet digital PCR (ddPCR) with "high information density" and "wide dynamic range" advances.
Experiments: By combining numerical simulation and fluid dynamics experiments, we have investigated the crucial parameters affecting the CFSE two-phase interface and finally achieved the prediction and guidance for CFSE droplet production.
Photo-, microbial, and abiotic dark reduction of soil mercury (Hg) may all lead to elemental mercury (Hg(0)) emissions. Utilizing lab incubations, isotope signatures of Hg(0) emitted from mining soils were characterized to quantify the interplay and contributions of various Hg reduction pathways, which have been scarcely studied. At 15 °C, microbial reduced Hg(0) showed a negative mass-dependent fractionation (MDF) (δHg = -0.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study assessed the effectiveness of a decitabine (DAC)-based protocol in JMML patients undergoing HSCT. The pre-HSCT treatment includes initial and bridging treatment.
Coal-fired power plants (CFPPs) and cement plants (CPs) are important anthropogenic mercury (Hg) emission sources. Mercury speciation profiles in flue gas are different among these sources, leading to significant variations in local atmospheric Hg deposition. To quantify the impacts of Hg emissions from CFPPs and CPs on local-scale atmospheric Hg deposition, this study determined concentrations and isotopes of ambient gaseous elemental mercury (GEM), particulate-bound mercury (PBM), and precipitation total Hg (THg) at multiple locations with different distances away from a CFPP and a CP.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to identify perioperative risk factors of laryngeal symptoms and to develop an implementable risk prediction model for Chinese hospitalized patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG).
Methods: A total of 1476 Chinese CABG patients admitted to Wuhan Asian Heart Hospital from January 2020 to June 2022 were included and then divided into a modeling cohort and a verification cohort. Univariate analysis was used to identify laryngeal symptoms risk factors, and multivariate logistic regression was applied to construct a prediction model for laryngeal symptoms after CABG.
Ocular metastasis is a rare type of distant metastasis of lung cancer. Limited information is available regarding ocular symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. We reported 16 patients diagnosed with ocular metastasis from lung cancer treated at our hospital from January 1988 to March 2024 and conducted a systematic review of 100 patients retrieved from the PubMed database from January 2014 to December 2023.

On 13-15 January 2022, the Hunga Tonga-Hunga Ha'apai underwater volcano erupted. This powerful eruption generated infrasonic waves with amplitudes of thousands of Pascals in the near field. The ground infrasonic stations in China, located approximately 10 000 km from the Hunga volcano, also received waves with frequencies from 0.

The effects of microplastics (MPs) from agricultural plastic films on soil nitrogen transformation, especially denitrification, are still obscure. Here, using a robotized flow-through system, we incubated vegetable upland soil cores for 66 days with MPs from PE mulching film (F-PE) and PVC greenhouse film (F-PVC) and directly quantified the emissions of nitrogenous gases from denitrification under oxic conditions, as well as the denitrification potential under anoxic conditions. The impact of MPs on soil nitrogen transformation was largely determined by the concentration of the additive phthalate esters (PAEs) containing in the MPs.
