Article Synopsis
  • Copper nanoclusters (Cu NCs) are gaining attention for their unique properties, and this study presents a new method for creating porous copper nanoclusters (p-Cu NCs) using chicken egg albumin.
  • The synthesized p-Cu NCs show strong fluorescence, with emissions at 280 nm and excitation peaks at 340 nm, and can effectively detect Fe ions in solutions.
  • The probe shows a promising detection range for Fe ions (0.2 to 100 μM) and was successfully tested in natural water samples, demonstrating its practical application.

Pt nanoparticles (PtNPs) were biologically synthesized by reducing Na2PtCl4 with Cacumen Platycladi Extract (CPE). The effects of reaction temperature, initial Pt(II) concentration, and CPE percentage on Pt(II) conversion and the size distribution of the PtNPs were studied. The results showed that the Pt(II) conversion rate reached 95.
