- - Epilepsy surgery, especially Temporal Lobe Resection (TLR) and Magnetic Resonance-guided Laser Interstitial Thermal Therapy (MRgLITT), serves as a critical treatment for drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (mTLE), with TLR showing a higher seizure freedom rate of 72.5% compared to 57.1% for MRgLITT (P < 0.01).
