In addition to evaluating quercetin's potential for drug development with fewer side effects and lower toxicity, this type of review attempts to collect scientific evidence addressing quercetin's roles as an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anticancer agent. A Prospective, Multicenter European Study on the Effects of Anatolian Propolis and Hypertonic Saline Combination Nasal Spray on Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms.

The current study examined the effectiveness of Rhinapi, a hypertonic saline nasal spray with Anatolian propolis added, on allergic rhinitis (AR) symptoms in a European population. Four hundred and forty AR patients (251 males and 189 females) from various European centers were enrolled. Nasal examination, overall symptom scores, individual AR symptoms (nasal discharge, sneezing, nasal itching, and nasal obstruction), and quality of life (QoL) were assessed before and after 3 weeks of treatment with Rhinapi, the nasal spray made of hypertonic saline with Anatolian propolis added (Bee&You, Istanbul, Turkey).

The Relationship between the Laboratory Biomarkers of SARS-CoV-2 Patients with Type 2 Diabetes at Discharge and the Severity of the Viral Pathology.

In this study, we evaluated the discharge status of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and SARS-CoV-2 infection, focusing on the inflammatory profile through biomarkers such as procalcitonin, CRP, LDH, fibrinogen, ESR, and ferritin, as well as electrolyte levels and the prior diagnosis of diabetes or its identification at the time of hospitalization. We assessed parameters at discharge for 45 patients admitted to the Clinical Hospital "Gavril Curteanu" Oradea between 21 October 2021, and 31 December 2021, randomly selected, having as the main inclusion criteria the positive RT-PCR rapid antigen test for viral infection and the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes. At discharge, patients with type 2 diabetes registered significantly lower mean procalcitonin levels among those who survived compared to those who died from COVID-19.

The influence of the merger process between two tertiary hospitals in Romania on job satisfaction among staff.

Aim: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the influence of the merger process of two tertiary hospitals located in the northwest of Romania on the professional satisfaction among medical and non-medical staff and to develop a standardized satisfaction questionnaire for romanian hospitals.

Methods: 1750 questionnaires distributed within County Clinical Emergency Hospital Bihor (CCEHBh) ten months and one year and four months after the merger process were analyzed.

Results: The percentage of staff who declare themselves satisfied with their work one year and four months after the merger is 80.

Background: Scars are a natural consequence of the healing process, but with an impact on the psychological and social level for the individual, which can even lead to withdrawal and social stigmatization. We aimed to analyze the psychosocial impact determined by post-traumatic scars, using psychometric scales, to assess the effectiveness of the Mekereș' Psychosocial Internalization Scale (MPIS), and to identify relevant predictors of traumatic and surgical scar internalization.

Methods: Our cohort included 293 participants, 149 women and 144 men, aged 18-64 years who were screened for scar characteristics and completed a set of psychological scales.
