Patients with large B-cell lymphoma (LBCL) progressing after anti-CD19 CAR T-cell (CAR19) therapy have poor outcomes. Subsequent CAR T-cell therapy shows promise, but the impact of residual CAR19 and early relapse remains unclear. We evaluated 37 CAR19-refractory LBCL patients who received anti-CD22 CAR T-cell (CAR22) in a phase 1b trial (NCT04088890).

Background: Acne treatment can take weeks to deliver noticeable improvements, which may diminish patients' perception of treatment effectiveness and undermine treatment adherence. Combination topical treatments that target multiple acne pathophysiological pathways are more efficacious than topical monotherapies, and simplifying combination treatment by delivering multiple active ingredients as fixed combinations may improve adherence.

Methods: This review provides an overview of efficacy with 4 weeks of treatment in pivotal trials of fixed-combination topical treatments for acne.

Background: Flat epithelial atypia (FEA), a rare breast proliferative lesion, is often diagnosed following core biopsy (CB) of mammographic microcalcifications. In the prospective multi-institution TBCRC 034 trial, we investigate the upgrade rate to ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) or invasive cancer following excision for patients diagnosed with FEA on CB.

Patients And Methods: Patients with a breast imaging reporting and data system (BI-RADS) ≤ 4 imaging abnormality and a concordant CB diagnosis of FEA were identified for excision.

Objective: Health Inequalities refer to disparities in healthcare access and outcomes based on social determinants of health. These inequalities disproportionately affect Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic (BAME) groups, particularly pregnant women, who face increased risks and limited access to care due to low health literacy. Maternal mortality rates for BAME women can be up to four times higher than for white women.

Early detection is a relative newcomer in medicine, with its efficacy relying not only on therapy but also on the availability of evidence supporting the advantage of treatment at an earlier stage. Late 19th century histologic evidence that cancer begins as a single primary focus and Halsted's centrifugal theory of stepwise spread (breast, regional nodes, and systemic distribution) provided the rationale for both en bloc surgery and the lifesaving benefit of early detection. Clinicians soon noticed exceptions to this ordered timeline, and pathologists identified histological features that questioned its primacy; however, Bernard Fisher spearheaded the initial challenge.

Introduction: Penicillins and other beta-lactam antibiotics are used in greater than one-third of pregnant women as treatment for Group B Streptococcus colonization and prophylaxis for Caesarean sections. Penicillin allergy labels have been associated with increased morbidity in the pregnant population, and penicillin allergy evaluation during pregnancy is now recognized as safe and effective. Yet, demographic characteristics associated with having a penicillin allergy label during pregnancy have not been studied.

Objective: Over the past decade, the role of nurse practitioners (NPs) in long-term care home (LTCH) settings has significantly expanded. Despite this trend, gaps have been identified in the description of collaborative practices between NPs and physicians in the LTCH sector. This study aimed to characterize the elements of collaboration between NPs and physicians in LTCH settings by applying the "Structured Collaborative Practice Core Model.

Background: Acanthosis nigricans (AN) is a dermatologic skin condition that is often overlooked in its role as an indicator of underlying cardiovascular disorders. Recognizing the importance of AN beyond its cosmetic concerns is crucial for improving patient outcomes.

Objective: Provide a review of AN and what every dermatologist should know of its underlying cardiovascular risk.

Background: SB5 (adalimumab-bwwd) is an adalimumab biosimilar targeting tumor necrosis factor (TNF) for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases, including moderate-to-severe chronic plaque psoriasis.

Objectives: To assess the four-year persistence associated with the effectiveness and safety of SB5 in patients with psoriasis in the UK and Ireland.

Methods: This prospective study included 1195 SB5-treated patients using British Association of Dermatologists' Biologic Interventions Register (BADBIR) between 01 June 2018 and 31 August 2022.

Objectives:  This study explores the results of a rapidly implemented no-cost gratitude intervention designed to address student distress during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. This intervention focused on shared gratitude journaling with a postimplementation survey of well-being using elements of Seligman's PERMA (Positive emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment) model of well-being.

Methods:  Journaling took place from November 2020 to April 2021 using a convenience sample ( = 57) from the Master of Science in Health Informatics program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Background And Objective: To determine if sub-threshold micropulse laser (SML) therapy can prevent or delay vision loss in diabetic macular edema (DME) with good visual acuity (VA).

Patients And Methods: Prospective, single-masked, sham-controlled trial in 27 eyes of 19 adult patients with treatment-naïve, center-involved DME, and VA of 20/25 or better. Measures included best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), low-luminance visual acuity (LLVA), contrast sensitivity (CS), average threshold on microperimetry, and central subfield thickness (CST).
