Implantable sensors with the abilities of real-time healthcare monitoring and auxiliary training are important for exercise-induced or disease-induced muscle and ligament injuries. However, some of these implantable sensors have some shortcomings, such as requiring an external power supply or poor flexibility and stability. Herein, an organogel/silicone fiber-helical sensor based on a triboelectric nanogenerator (OFS-TENG) is developed for power-free and sutureable implantation ligament strain monitoring.

Respiration is a major vital sign, which can be used for early illness diagnosis and physiological monitoring. Wearable respiratory sensors present an exciting opportunity to monitor human respiratory behaviors in a real-time, noninvasive, and comfortable way. Among them, fiber-shaped triboelectric nanogenerators (FS-TENGs) are attractive for their comfort and high degree of freedom.

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) are useful for harvesting clean and widely distributed water droplet energy with high efficiency. However, the commonly used polymer films in TENGs for water droplet energy harvesting have the disadvantages of poor breathability, poor skin affinity, and irreparable hydrophobicity, which greatly hinder their wearable uses. Here, we report an all-fabric TENG (F-TENG), which not only has good air permeability and hydrophobic self-repairing properties but also shows effective energy conversion efficiency.

It is of great importance to explore a creative route to improve the degradation efficiency of organic pollutants in wastewater. Herein, we construct a unique hybrid system by combining self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) with carbon dots-TiO sheets doped three-dimensional graphene oxide photocatalyst (3DGA@CDs-TNs), which can significantly enhance the degradation efficiency of brilliant green (BG) and direct blue 5B (DB) owing to the powerful interaction of TENG and 3DGA@CDs-TNs photocatalyst. The power output of TENG can be applied for wastewater purification directly, which exhibits a self-powered electrocatalytic technology.

The development of elastic electronic technology has promoted the application of triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in flexible wearable electronics. However, most of the flexible electronics cannot achieve the requirements of being extremely stretchable, transparent, and highly conductive at the same time. Herein, we report a TENG constructed using a double-network polymer ionic conductor sodium alginate/zinc sulfate/poly acrylic-acrylamide (SA-Zn) hydrogel, which exhibited outstanding stretchability (>10,000%), high transparency (>95%), and good conductivity (0.

Fire disaster is one of the most common hazards that threaten public safety and social development: how to improve the fire escape and rescue capacity remains a huge challenge. Here, a 3D honeycomb-structured woven fabric triboelectric nanogenerator (F-TENG) based on a flame-retardant wrapping yarn is developed. The wrapping yarn is fabricated through a continuous hollow spindle fancy twister technology, which is compatible with traditional textile production processes.

In this work, we demonstrated an ultrasensitive detection platform for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) based on DNA microcapsules and a nonlinear hybridization chain reaction (NHCR). In the process, first, electrochemical signal molecules (Methylene Blue, MB) were sealed in the prepared DNA microcapsules. In the presence of PCB-72, DNA microcapsules could be dissociated with the conjugation of the aptamer and target, and meanwhile, the released DNA strand could initiate the NHCR and trigger the chain branching growth of DNA dendrimers.

This paper reported a novel colorimetric assay strategy for avidin and biotin interactions based on terminal protection of the biotinylated single-stranded DNA and the surface plasmon resonance adsorption of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs). In this assay, it was firstly found that biotin-ssDNA specifically bound to the target protein avidin with strong affinity could be protected from hydrolysis by exonuclease I (Exo I). Furthermore, a colorimetric strategy was designed for the detection of avidin and biotin interactions.

Herein, we describe a novel homogenous electrochemical aptasensor for the ultrasensitive detection of ractopamine (RAC) based on the signal amplification of a hairpin DNA cascade amplifier (HDCA) and electrocatalysis of dsDNA-templated copper nanoparticles. The present electrochemical aptasensor employs a label-free "turn-on" strategy with enzyme-free amplification. Briefly, the target RAC triggers the HDCA autocatalytic process of two ingeniously designed complementary hairpin DNA, which results in the formation of nucleic-acid-stabilized copper nanoparticles (dsDNA/CuNPs).
