In this research, eight natural deep eutectic solvents (NaDESs) consisting of food-grade ingredients were screened for the extraction of four bioactive compounds (acteoside, cinnamic acid, angoroside C and harpagoside) from radix scrophulariae (RS). Among these NaDESs, Proline-Glycerol NaDES with higher comprehensive score was selected. The Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) was applied to calculate the information entropy and the weight of indexes, and figured out a comprehensive score.

Methods: BPA (2 μg/kg/d or 20 μg/kg/d) or tocopherol-stripped corn oil (vehicle control) was administered to pregnant mice by gavage at gestational day 11, and the offspring (prenatally treated mice) were sacrificed and ovariectomized at postnatal day (PND) 4 and PND22. Ovarian morphology was documented in the first filial (F1) generation female offspring, and the follicles were analyzed and classified morphologically on PND 4.

This study provides a novel method to prepare metal-ceramic composites from magnetically selected iron ore using microwave heating. By introducing three different microwave susceptors (activated carbon, SiC, and a mixture of activated carbon and SiC) during the microwave process, effective control of the ratio of metallic and ceramic phases was achieved easily. The effects of the three susceptors on the microstructure of the metal-ceramics and the related reaction mechanisms were also investigated in detail.

Homeostasis disturbance of trace elements has been linked to adverse reproductive consequences, including premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) in women, but limited evidence has been reported so far. This case-control study evaluated the associations between 5 common urinary trace elements [copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), Iron (Fe), Selenium (Se), and zinc (Zn)] and the odds for POI. Objective: To investigate the expression of suppressor of cytokine signaling(SOCS)-3 and caspase-3 and their correlative significance in endometriosis.

Methods: Immunohistochemical EnVision method was used to detect the SOCS-3 and caspase-3 protein expression in ectopic and eutopic endometrium (n = 32) of patients with endometriosis, as well as normal endometrium (n = 30) of women without endometriosis.

Results: SOCS-3 and caspase-3 proteins were expressed in all three groups and not affected by the menstrual cycles.
