Objective: This study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy of thoracoscopy combined with transforaminal endoscopy and thoracoscopy alone in the treatment of thoracic tuberculosis.

Methods: Patients with thoracic tuberculosis who visited our hospital from February 2018 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into thoracoscopic combined transforaminal endoscopic surgery group (group A) and thoracoscopic surgery alone group (group B) according to the surgical methods.

Article Synopsis
  • * In vitro experiments showed that treating macrophages with hucMSCs exosomes reduces inflammatory markers (like IL-6 and TNF-α) and promotes the expression of anti-inflammatory markers (like IL-10 and arginase) while enhancing macrophage migration and proliferation.
  • * The findings suggest that hucMSCs exosomes can switch macrophages from an inflammatory (M1) to a more anti-inflammatory (M2) state by reducing NF-κB signaling and increasing STAT3 activity, offering a

Researching the structural characteristics of the spatial correlation network of cultivated land utilization ecological efficiency is of great significance to China's food security and agricultural green and low-carbon development. Taking 47 cities (autonomous prefectures) in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River as the research object, the ecological efficiency of cultivated land utilization from 2010 to 2020 was measured based on the unexpected output model (Super SBM), and the spatial correlation matrix was constructed using the revised gravity model. The structural characteristics of the spatial correlation network were analyzed using the social network model (SNA), and finally, the factors affecting the spatial correlation network of cultivated land utilization ecological efficiency in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River were analyzed through the quadratic assignment procedure (QAP) model.

Background: Treating complex cases of spinal tuberculosis (STB) that involve multiple vertebral bodies and cause destruction of the spinal structure, kyphotic deformity, and acute nerve injury can be challenging. This report describes the course of treatment and 5-year follow-up of a complex case of multisegmental STB.

Case Presentation: This report describes a case of tuberculosis affecting the vertebrae extending from thoracic 12 to lumbar 5 in a 60-year-old woman who suffered sudden paralysis in both lower extremities.

Anisotropy is an intrinsic property of crystalline materials. However, the photoluminescence anisotropy in eutectic crystals of organometallic complexes has remained unexplored. Herein, the eutectic of polynuclear lanthanide complexes and Ag clusters was prepared, and the crystal shows significant photoluminescence anisotropy.

Article Synopsis
  • Research on environmental emergency incidents in China from 1991 to 2018 shows a significant positive spatial correlation and increasing spatial agglomeration, indicating that these incidents are not randomly distributed across provinces.
  • The study highlights an unbalanced development pattern, revealing a shift in agglomeration from eastern and southern provinces to central and western ones over time.
  • Influencing factors, such as economic development and industrial structure, exhibit clear temporal and spatial heterogeneity, with varying impacts on environmental emergencies in different provinces and periods.
