In the past 7 years a total of 90 RLAs were performed in patients with testicular tumour and the vascular anomaly of the retroperitoneum was diagnosed in 10 cases. Attention is called to these vascular disorders which render the performance of lymph dissection difficult but can never influence the question of operability.

Between 1973 and 1985, a total of 46 patients were operated for vesicovaginal fistula. Depending on the extension and localization of the fistula, transvesical or transperitoneal closure was performed. In 12 patients ureteral neoimplantation was made.

In the 5-year period between January 1, 1977 and December 31, 1981, 6 patients with bilateral urological tumours localized in various organs were treated at the Department of Urology, Debrecen University Medical School. As compared to earlier results, the survival of patients with bilateral adrenal renal and testicular tumours may be improved by the early diagnosis, immediate and adequate treatment, by a careful follow-up lasting for years and, when needed, by a delayed intermittent chemotherapy.

The authors describe 5 patients with rheumatoid arthritis; in 3 patients rupture of the synovial membrane and in 2 patients a calf cyst caused symptoms resembling a deep vein thrombosis. Contrast arthrography is of great help in differential diagnosis in conjunction with thorough anamnesis and clinical examination. The joint effusion plays a dominating role in the disease process, and treatment of the effusion is of the greatest importance for both prophylaxis and therapy of membrane rupture and calf cysts.
