Secondary outcomes included intensive care unit length of stay and hospital length of stay.

Successful adaptive imaging requires accurate measurements of the aberration profile across the array surface. Two-dimensional spatial filters are used to obtain more accurate estimates of aberrating layers by suppressing wavefronts emanating from off-axis scatterers. Application of these filters to the rf signals of the individual elements rejects wavefronts arriving from angles other than the look direction of the array and results in an increase in element-to-element correlation.

Unlabelled: Erythropoietic protoporphyria (EPP) is an inborn error of heme biosynthesis with high levels of protoporphyrin in red cells and is characterized by mild to moderate photosensitivity. High-dose beta-carotene therapy has been reported to afford photoprotection in patients with EPP. We report the case of a 5-year-old Caucasian female with EPP who presented with a long-standing 3-year history of recurrent facial blisters and erythematous swelling and lesions of other sun-exposed areas of the skin.

Water buffalo are renowned for difficulties in the implementation of assisted reproductive technologies, with both males and females being problematic. In this study, we used cattle oocytes to assess the effect of treatments with heparin and caffeine on buffalo spermatozoa and subsequent fertilization and embryo development in vitro. There was no significant difference between buffalo and bovine spermatozoa in the events associated with fertilization.
