We study the effect of the pseudospin ferromagnetism with the aid of an electrically detected electron spin resonance in a wide AlAs quantum well containing a high quality two-dimensional electron system. Here, pseudospin emerges as a two-component degree of freedom, that labels degenerate energy minima in momentum space populated by electrons. The built-in mechanical strain in the sample studied imposes a finite "Zeeman" splitting between the pseudospin "up" and "down" states.

Mutations in the human gene lead to epileptic encephalopathy of early childhood. It is characterized by the early onset of serial seizures, cognitive impairment and behavioral disorders (including autistic personality traits). In most cases, difficulties arise in selecting therapy due to pharmacoresistance.

Spiroconjugation of indoline-2-one with β-lactams ring is considered to be able to provide stabilization and wide scope of functionalization to resulting scaffolds. The dispipooxindoles obtained demonstrated medium cytotoxicity in the MTT test on A549, MCF7, HEK293, and VA13 cell lines, and one of the compounds demonstrated antibacterial activity against strain LPTD.

The microstructure is designed to support 'spoof' plasmon-polariton excitations with resonant frequencies significantly below the fundamental surface plasmon resonance. Experiments reveal a relatively narrow range of spatial parameters for the optimal resonant scattering enhancement.

The objective of the present study was to elucidate the causes responsible for a cough in the pregnant women. It involved 92 patients including 23 ones presenting with bronchial asthma and 69 having no manifestations of asthma in their medical histories but suffering from dry cough that started after the beginning of pregnancy. All the patients were given counseling by the otorhinolaryngology and pulmonology specialists.

Objective: To carry out a functional analysis of dopamine transporter (DAT) in autosomal recessive Parkinson's disease caused by mutations in the PARK2 gene.
Material And Methods: Cultures of dopaminergic neurons were obtained from fibroblasts of a patient with PARK2 form of Parkinson's disease and a healthy donor with the use of the cell reprogramming technology. DAT expression in both cell cultures was assessed at the RNA and protein levels, and DAT activity was tested with the use of the fluorescent dopamine analogue ASP+.
We studied the effects of dopamine D1/D2 receptor antagonists on the dynamics of acquisition and extinction of active avoidance responses and open field behavior in ovariectomized female rats. Dopamine D1 receptor antagonist SCH-23390 (0.1 mg/kg intraperitoneally) and dopamine D2 receptor antagonist sulpiride (10.

The aim of this work was to study the influence of stimulation or blockade Nalpha7-cholinoreceptors on dynamics of spatial learning in water Morris maze and on behavior in the "open field" test in adult ovariectomized (OVX) females given with a low dose of 17beta-estradiol. Agonist of Nalpha7-cholinoreceptors - RJR-2403 (1.0 mg/kg, i.

The comparative analysis of hormonal status was performed in mature female rats with experimental deficiency of estrogens, which mothers were exposed to stress during pregnancy. High levels of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, and significantly lower amount of estradiol were observed in intact prenatally stressed females in comparison with intact non-stressed female rats. The increase in the levels of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, and the decrease in estradiol concentration were more pronounced in blood serum of prenatally stressed ovariectomized rats as distinct from intact non-stressed and prenatally stressed female rats, and non-stressed ovariectomized female rats.

Here, we demonstrate that PfShelph2, a gene product of Plasmodium falciparum that belongs to the Shewanella-like phosphatase (Shelph) subfamily, selectively hydrolyzes phosphotyrosine, as shown for other previously studied Shelph family members. In the extracellular merozoite stage, PfShelph2 localizes to vesicles that appear to be distinct from those of rhoptry, dense granule, or microneme organelles.

The stress was accompanied by a decrease MDA content, inversion of the initial asymmetry of total phospholipids (TPL) and modification PL composition in the brain hemispheres of rats. STD administration to the rats after stress antagonized the decrease of the MDA level, attenuates stress induced inversion TPL asymmetry and normalized PL composition in the brain hemispheres.
