Background: The population over 65 years of age is key in the decision to donate organs in its different aspects. We sought to analyze the attitude toward organ donation from a relative among people over 65 years of age and to determine the psychosocial variables that may influence their attitude.

Methods: The study population consisted of citizens over 65 years of age.

Design: A practical workshop was designed to address 6 clinical scenarios of abdominal surgical conditions. Four scenarios employed medium fidelity simulators, while 2 scenarios employed standardized patient methodology.

Background: Primary hyperparathyroidism can impact patient quality of life with psychopathological symptoms like mood and sleep disturbances. In the latest recommendations published according to the primary hyperparathyroidism surgical consensus, these neuropsychological symptoms continue to be excluded. This study aims to assess the negative effects of mood and sleep on patients with primary hyperparathyroidism compared to healthy controls and analyze their improvement after surgery.

Attitude of the Older Population Toward Controlled Asystole Donation.

Introduction: Studies about the knowledge of and attitude toward new lines of organ donation in a group of older people are important due to the increase in older organ donors.

Background: Audiovisual creation allows teachers and students to become consumers and producers of information, creating collaborative environments. In the field of organ donation and transplantation (ODT), most of the educational proposals analyzed to date consist of presentations. YouTube is an appropriate social network for disseminating scientific audiovisual content, and this content can help to make the position of women in science, and gender equality, more visible. The aim of this study is to analyse the visibility of women scientists on the YouTube channels of Spanish biosanitary research institutes accredited by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. A mixed study of the channels and communication departments of the institutions has been carried out, analysing metrics of audience impact, the type of audiovisual production and the use of YouTube in the institution.

Malignant prediction in paragangliomas: analysis for clinical risk factors.

Introduction: Paragangliomas are infrequent neuroendocrine tumours whose only criterion for malignancy is presence of metastases; thus, all paragangliomas show malignant potential. Actually, different risk factors have been analyzed to predict metastases but they remain unclear.

Purpose: To analyze clinical, histological, and genetic factors to predict the occurrence of metastasis.

Uncommon tumors in multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) type 1: Do they have a relationship with the prognosis of these patients?

Introduction: The prognosis of MEN 1 patients is not only determined by pancreatic disease; it is also related to other uncommon tumors. The objective of this study is to analyze the tumors associated with MEN 1 outside the classic triad and to investigate their relationship with mortality.
