Rupture of the extensor hallucis longus tendon caused by talar neck osteophyte.

Closed injuries of extensor hallucis longus (EHL) tendon are uncommon and rarely reported. We present a patient who had an extensor hallucis longus tendon rupture which we believe to be related to the presence of a talar neck osteophyte. This was treated surgically with a satisfactory outcome.

Autogenous bone grafting of uncontained bony defects of tibia during total knee arthroplasty a 10-year follow up.

Autogenous bone grafting of uncontained tibial bony defects was carried out in 18 patients during a cemented total knee arthroplasty. American Knee Society scores were used to compare the results of the grafted group with those of a control group of 132 total knee arthroplasty patients without a significant tibial bony defect. The patients were followed up for 10 years.
