The aluminum(III) triflate catalyzed three-component coupling reaction of alkynes, amines and phosphorylated aryl aldehydes to access phosphoryl quinoline derivatives has been developed. The reaction proceeds in a simple system without the use of transition metals, ligands or additives, thus making it attractive for the fast preparation of a variety of new potential N-P bidentate ligands.

The visible-light-mediated tandem phosphorylation/cyclization of -arylacrylamides with H-phosphine oxides has been developed for the synthesis of phosphorylated oxindoles. This efficient and facile process was useful for the construction of a C-P bond and triggered the formation of a C-C bond with good compatibility with functional groups undermild reaction conditions.

In this work, Au/GdPO-rods were found to be good catalysts for CO oxidation with a low content of Au. The dopant of CePO could influence the activity of Au/GdPO due to the synergistic effect. GdPO and CePO nanorods were obtained by a hydrothermal process and the Au/GdPO-rod and Au/Ce-GdPO-rod catalysts were prepared by deposition-precipitation synthesis.

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, [CdCl(2)(C(7)H(10)N(2)O(2)S)(2)], contains two complex molecules with similar configurations. The Cd(II) atoms are each six-coordinated by two thiazole N and two carbonyl O atoms from the 2-(2-amino-1,3-thiazol-4-yl)acetate ligand, and by two Cl(-) anions in a distorted octa-hedral geometry. In the crystal, intra- and inter-molecular N-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds create parallel chains along [1-10].

In the title compound, [Ni(C(7)H(3)Cl(2)O(2))(2)(C(3)H(7)NO)(H(2)O)], the Ni(II) ion is coordinated by four O atoms from two bidentate 2,4-dichloro-6-formyl-phenolate ligands, one O atom from a water ligand and one O atom from a dimethyl-formamide ligand in a slightly distorted octa-hedral environment. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetric dimers are formed though O-H⋯O and O-H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds; π-π stacking inter-actions, with a centroid-centroid distance of 3.796 (2) Å, are also found.
