From their very first practical placement, student nurses are confronted with suffering and bodies which are wounded, fatigued and worn down by pain, disease or age. They learn, through their experience and the support provided by health professionals, that showing consideration for others means taking care of their body with the utmost respect, in order to preserve the patient's dignity.

Introduction: Law of the 4 March 2002 allowed patient's access to his medical record. This law could increase the number of requests in medical dispatching centers and prehospital intensive care units.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of this law on the number of requests for medical information received in our unit.

Combinatorial methods offer an efficient approach for the development of new materials. Methods for generating combinatorial samples of materials, and methods for characterizing local composition and structure by electron microprobe analysis and electron-backscatter diffraction are relatively well developed. But a key component for combinatorial studies of materials is high-spatial-resolution measurements of the property of interest, for example, the magnetic, optical, electrical, mechanical or thermal properties of each phase, composition or processing condition.

A survey of sedation protocols used for emergency endotracheal intubation in poisoned patients in the French prehospital medical system.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate prehospital sedation protocols used by several French mobile intensive care units for difficult intubations in poisoned patients. This prospective, descriptive study was performed within the toxicological intensive care unit in a university hospital. Consecutive poisoned patients intubated during their airway management by prehospital medical teams were included.
