Article Synopsis
  • * Pretreatment with TAEO emulsion increases the activity of antioxidant enzymes (SOD, CAT, APX, GPX) and boosts total polyphenol content, improving the antioxidant status in infected tomato plants.
  • * Key defense genes (like SlChi, SlWRKY, and SlLOX) are significantly up-regulated within 12 hours of infection, indicating that TAEO emulsion can stimulate both antioxidant responses and gene activation in tomato plants.

Non-typhoid is one of the major causes of food-borne infections worldwide. The aim of the current study is to determine the serotype occurrence, virulence factors and antimicrobial resistance patterns of isolated from hospitalized patients. The identification of strains was performed according to REMIC, 2018.

This study was conducted in north-eastern Tunisia to estimate the contamination prevalence of Salmonella in broilers' meat, to rank serotypes and to characterize the isolated multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains. A total number of 1288 meat samples were collected from 322 broiler batches; Salmonella isolates were identified by the alternative technique VIDAS Easy Salmonella. The susceptibility of Salmonella isolates was assessed against 21 antimicrobials using the disc diffusion method on Mueller-Hinton agar.

This study was conducted in northeastern Tunisia to estimate both the prevalence and the risk factors of in broiler flocks as well as to characterize the isolated multidrug-resistant (MDR) strains. In the present study, a total number of 124 farms were sampled; isolates were identified by the alternative technique . The susceptibility of isolates was assessed against 21 antimicrobials using the disk diffusion method on Mueller-Hinton agar using antimicrobial discs.

Plant-microbe interactions such as rhizobacteria legumes are interesting in organic farming that has undergone significant expansion in the world. The organic agriculture is as an environment-friendly technique and a sustainable alternative to intensive agricultural system. Three types of soil were chosen, organic (ORG), conventional (CON), and fallow land (NA) to isolate soil bacteria-nodulating Medicago sativa, in order to develop microbial inoculants for use in agricultural sustainable system.
