Ovarian cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality among women worldwide. However, early detection can significantly reduce mortality rates and mitigate subsequent complications related to both economic burden and mental well-being. Despite the development in the field of medical diagnosis, the death rates due to ovarian cancer have sharply increased.

Based on porous silicon (PSi) layer that has been penetrated by a conjugated copolymer (B-co-MP) which consists of BEHP-PPV and MEH-PPV, with a fractional ratio of 60:40. The suggested method for the development of the dosimeter is based on the shift of photonic band-gap to shorter wavelengths, where exposure to gamma-ray radiation at doses ranging from 0 to 20 kGy alters the refractive index of the (B-co-MP) copolymer.

The suggested structures are composed of silver metal, dielectric layers, silver nanocomposite, and a sensing medium. The reflectance spectra of all structures in the visible region were obtained through the utilization of the transfer matrix method by using the angular interrogation method depending on the Kretschmann configuration.

The transmission spectra of the incident mechanical waves were considered basic data for expressing the characteristics of different nuclear fuel-pellets. Herein, the density, sound speed, and Young's modulus of the fuel-pellets represent the key parameters that are influenced by the irradiation behaviors of these pallets.

Each unit cell of the considered one-dimensional photonic crystals (1D PhCs) is composed of two layers designed from porous silicon infiltrated by poly-vinyl alcohol polymer doped with crystal violet (CV) and carbol fuchsine (CF) dyes (doped-polymer) with different porosity. In addition, a single layer of doped-polymer is included in the middle of the designed 1D PhCs to stimulate the localization of a distinct resonant wavelength through the photonic band gap.

Despite significant progress in synthetic polymer chemistry and in control over tuning the structures and morphologies of nanoparticles, studies on morphologic design of nanomaterials for the purpose of optimizing antimicrobial activity have yielded mixed results. When designing antimicrobial materials, it is important to consider two distinctly different modes and mechanisms of activity-those that involve direct interactions with bacterial cells, and those that promote the entry of nanomaterials into infected host cells to gain access to intracellular pathogens. Antibacterial activity of nanoparticles may involve direct interactions with organisms and/or release of antibacterial cargo, and these activities depend on attractive interactions and contact areas between particles and bacterial or host cell surfaces, local curvature and dynamics of the particles, all of which are functions of nanoparticle shape.
